I have a cat with flea allergies. I used to give her Frontline, but since I got ceramic tile floors, she hasn't had a problem with fleas in years. Recently, she got out to the utility room, which is usually closed off to her, and I think she picked up some fleas. :( I'm getting some frontline today for her, but what can I do to keep her from scratching and losing more fur on the irritated areas?

About the only thing that will help asap, is to try to comb her with a cat comb. You will see the fleas on the comb. Rince them off in your sink right away, as fleas can jump several feet. Continue this all over its body. You wont get them all but you'll give the cat some relief till the frontline starts working. Are you sure she got them in the utility room? There has to be a reason they are in there. Try to find out. Good luck

Once the Frontline gets into her system, she'll stop her scratching.
