How can Mexico consider itself a Christian country? Why is Pope Benedict silent? Is afraid of a Mexican backlash? Is he afraid of being called a Nazi?

YES! Not only UNchristian, but hypocritical as well! Mexico is encouraging these illegals to break into another country, lie, steal, cheat, whatever it takes to benefit MEXICO! They don't give a crap how many people or WHO it hurts, as long as illegals keep on sending those billions of U.S. dollars, south of the border!

Being Christian is not like being Muslim or Hindu. A country is not Christian. People are Christians. A country may be founded upon Christian beliefs, but becoming a Christian is an individual response. Too, any where there is a separation of church and state, there is no state religion. Therefore such a country cannot be identified by a religious description. For example, the USA has a separation of church and state so it cannot be called a Christian state, an Islamic state, or another religious state.

He possibly has already been called that. The government in Mexico is not a very good government and No where does it say in the Bible that you cannot illegally immigrate to another country. So, umm I think that they want a better life, but they are certainly doing it the wrong way. So, I can't say if it is un- Christian.

How can you possibly see this through a Christian prism?
I suppose you could make a case for a Christian to be bound to help an poor man to at least get a job. Or certainly to be fed. Or even to change immigration laws so the aliens could become legal and contribute to the tax basis. Isn't Christianity more about caring than worrying about tax money. Didn't Christ say that we were to treat the least among us as we would treat him? I really wonder what kind of Christian it is that is more concerned with their "tax $$$" than the well being of one of Gods creatures.

I thought the Catholic church in Mexico was outlawed years ago, ( or extremely limited with respect to the priesthood and schools and such ). Anyone with real Mexico / church history knowledge out there ?
PS: Immigration to the US is a major source of $$ revenue for Mexico as billions are sent home by the workers and is responsible for the huge rise in the Mexican middle class.

Mexico is not a theocracy. Also, whoever suggested that the Catholic Church has had deals with Marxists is also incorrect. Pope John Paul II was strongly opposed to communism, to the point that the KGB saw him as a threat and had a role in the assassination attempt.

Actually I have heard that the Mexican Government and the Catholic Church don't get along with each other so it's no problem for the government to encourage and promote illegal immigration.

Interesting that you should mention religion, because way back there in the history books in the time of the US/Mexico war, the Catholic church BACKED Mexico financially against the United States...

The Popes encourage overpopulation , the Church harbors illegals and has been involved with Marxist movements in Central America in the past.

they might actuallly pass after the 15(?) million individuals that do evade taxes each twelve months, yet they does no longer pass after their (500?) great wealthy party devotees that each locate loopholes to dodge paying $15 million in taxes each. in the event that they;re wealthy and linked, they are going to get away with it. I say the undesirable Mexicans coming right here attempting to outlive at the instant are not as enormous a topic as a handfull of evil CEO's and hotshots who get away with ripping off thousands and thousands of people considering they're cohorts of a few efficient politicians. If their chum, the congressman, whose campaign they funded, unearths out the government is going to purchase 5, 000 planes from corporation xyz next month, he will call them up and that they are going to purchase the shares, get wealthy on insider paying for and advertising, what have been given Martha Stewart in penal complex. i think of halliburton is a competent occasion. so which you prefer to kick down on the undesirable. Why no longer kick up for a metamorphosis? despite the fact that if, we'd desire to continually get complicated with illegals that are merely stepping right into a lifetime of crime, quite theft, rape, weapons, and different violence. it could take see you later to technique 12 million people, that if we began the day merely before this merely deporting the repeat criminals, it could take a decade. i do no longer ideas approximately 0.5 of them staying, yet we'd desire to maintain music of them and in the event that they're merely choosing vegetables or doing shape and attempting to outlive, I say leave them on my own.
