Infection, you can miss-align the piercings, chances are you will tear the skin and cause scarring if you aren't using all the proper equipment.
With any oral piercing there is a chance of a number of things occuring. Gum errostion is very possible, weak enamel, bad breath can also occur. And you should be worried. Now you can find rubber or soft plastic covers for the backs of labret studs.
Also a month and a half and it 'seems pretty healed' that is a sure fire sign to me that you shouldn't be poking yourself up with needles.
As a piercer, I slap you firmly across the face for not going to a professional and hope you don't pierce yourself anymore.

My best friend has had snake bites for.....years. She has never complained about them being infected...every so often about the ring rubbing on her gums...but she has found ways around that....just go to a piercing shop and ask them for something with a rounded edge on the inside so it doesnt bother your gums.

yeha i pierced my left labret. Its healed and looks good. If you wear a stud in your lip then the back will rub up against your teeth and scratch them up. Eventually it could do some real damage. try wearing hoops, those wont scrape up againt your teeth, AS much, hardly actually. If you pierced it low and its scrapeing up against your gums, thats really bad, if thats the case take them out and peirce them higher.

Infection is the greatest danger. If you're careful and use clean implements your chance of infection low. If you're sloppy and use unsanitaty implements you're taking a great risk.

Well pal it happenes to me sometimes when we try to eat some dry food stuff. Dont worry about it because it will heal soon enough. Remember that our saliva is acts like healing potion itself . only for our body.not for other s.

Sneak, sneak, stab, stab is completely right, and you should listen to her.
She knows what she's talking about.
