I find personally the dutch are very cool but nearly everyone i asked seems to hate the isreali travellers. What do you think?

English could do with learning more languages anf not hoarding to the same locations but the aussies do seem to have a complete refusal to even say merci or danke. spanish dont seem to travel and the french travel to australia and cant string 2 english words together. But american travellers are cool, american college girls living in europe are not.

I agree i am painting everyone with the same brush but people of a certain culture have a way of developing in a certain way. It goes without saying that there are exceptions but stereotypes exist for a reason. And the responses just highlight that. I met a lot of world travellers with a "i love everyone" attitude. I find this very dillusional and is normal the result of to many disco biscuits or funny fags. A lot of people probably see the english as a lot of football shirt wearing, sun burnt, p***heads but i have no problem with being called that, but im not. But the more poeple that arnt like that then the sooner the stereotype will change. This goes for every country.

I find that just about all nationalities are cool travellers, and meet really nice people everywhere I go. Dutch, Canadians, Australians and Americans I have met abroad have all been friendly and cultured. I would say the worst travellers I have met were probably from my own country. I have met grumpy British and Irish people abroad, and also a group of noisy, immature British boys a few weeks ago. In saying that though, I reckon this was down to their personalities, rather than any nationalitstic stereotypes. You get bad and good eveywhere.

We have a lot of British tourists come to Florida, and they always seem to have really good manners. We get a great many Europeans overall here, and I have to say, that sometimes, although it is a cliche', the French are among the rudest. Not sure why exactly..also another question is... if Americans are so dreadful, why do they come here at all to visit? Jamaicans are always nice and friendly as well. And one of the nicest families I ever waited on was Welsh..although that would sort of go along with British tourists having good manners...

I meet some really nice Isreali's in Thailand.

You seem to be painting everybody with the same brush, as with the country you live in there are cool people and not so cool people, this is the same the world over, it is a rather bigoted and racist view that should be stopped if this world is going to live in harmony.

I would have expected more from a world travaller.

I have found a lot of Russians seem to be rude and ignorant.

Really like americans in the US, seems like all the really obnoxiuos ones are away on holiday!

Aussies are a bit of a mixed combination - can be a bit too loud.

I've found Germans to be quite good in UK.

Canadians around the world seem quite nice as well.

This is not my personal opinion of travellers but I have noticed in many years of backpacking that those are liked the most and treated best by other cultures are Canadians and least liked (with good cause) are Americans.

We (Live in America) ALWAYS try to learn the language of the country we are traveling to - enough to get by.
We have found the people in Rome to be the rudest when we have traveled.
Coming here to the US - people from India or China are not that friendly, but they are not mean.

EDIT - We LOVED LONDON and were treated very well there.

I always find the French particularly rude, but I agree that the dutch are v.friendly.....although I think us, as English, should try and learn more languages so that we can coerce in other countries without them having to speak our language

In my experience, Austalians, Americans and Kiwis are by far the earths most annoying travellers.
