Yes. Absolutely. It is doing you more harm than good now. It needs to go. It's a very common procedure. Depending on how bad it is....they could do it laparoscopically. 3 small incisions...and they basically suck it out. If it's really bad--they may have to make a larger incision....but it's nothing like it used to be. I have a scar from mine that is 10 inches. LOL

I am waiting to have mine removed because of so much pain, probably it will be better to have it removed because the symptoms will keep returning.

you won't miss your gallbladder, and you certainly won't miss the pain - the surgery for it now is so much easier than years ago when they basically gutted you like a fish!
