Doesn't all of their money go back to Mexico? Don't they drain tax dollars with thier health care and education costs? Aren't they a negative contribution?

there's not "one single argument AGAINST illegals", there are several. And you named a few (those are correct), also they aren't assimilating (and becoming citizens in the USA), they are taking jobs (a big percentage today of people in the USA aren't even getting their high school certificate and those people could work the jobs the illegal immigrants have); because the illegals are using the medical system and the doctors aren't getting paid we are losing doctors, and losing doctors in heavily populated areas; the baby boomers will be retiring soon and the money we are spending for illegals (and to overpopulate areas they are in with their childrens needs thereby cementing illegals in this country) we should rightfully be spending on our own baby boomers and military injured and former military as we owe it to them.. We also have to keep in mind that the earth will only feed a certain amount of people and that the illegals should go back to their own corrupt country, fight for their own rights, and demand that their own country pay for them. One thing that urks me is that the USA has fallen on their face to allow their language above all others to flourish. Anywhere you phone you'll hear a spanish message, and to add abuse to injury, now the messages say "click 1 for english, click 2 for spanish"...when rightfully it should all be in english and the comment should be added "click 1 for spanish". Many people of other nationalities who have applied for US citizenship and waited many years for that right have been bypassed and they are feeling hurt and abused as well.

The only argument some say in their favor is that (and they make this excuse only to try to stay here) that they "take jobs the americans don't want". And we know that is a false statement.

Have you researched this? How can you state "negative contribution?"

Depends on your reason for coming to the U.S. not all illegals are here to make money and take advantage of social benefits like welfare and etc... Most are here because they want to be Americans. What would cause someone to leave their country of origin? Opportunity, escaping poverty, giving their children a chance at a better life than they had.

Quit generalizing, I am so tired of uneducated people commenting on a topic they have no real knowledge or experience with.

My grandfather came here illegally, I state that every time I comment, he made no excuses, but he did this to save his children. He was in a position none of you could ever imagine. He was recently widowed, and raising 7 children by himself. He then was told that the Mexican police were coming to find him and kill him in front of his children, because when he was 15 yrs old... he rode with Poncho Villa in an effort to create a middle class.

Mexico has the rich and the poor, there is no middle class, so the poor leave in order to be able to reach the middle class standard, which honestly isn't much more than having your own shanty, food on the table, clothes for your kids, and the ability to pay for it all. People don't get it. The government there needs to reform. Not ours. They need to know their people, but they don’t, so the rich get richer and the poor increase in number.

So my grandfather came here to protect his children from becoming orphans. He also made it very clear that the English was mandatory; Spanish was only spoken in the home. He also made them all promise to give back to this country and they did. My father and his brothers have fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. I say a family that has fought in 4 wars for this country deserves to be here. They did this because it was an honor to serve, and the right thing to do as Americans. Many only had their green cards when they signed up, but they were willing to take a chance on dying to live free, and the military was more than willing to accept their help.

I cannot and will not deny anyone the right to better themselves... it is inhumane. Would you have turned away Jews during WWII? So why not other people facing death and oppression?

Don't get me wrong, I support immigration reform, I also believe it is not my decision or yours who stays and who goes, after all we were all once immigrants.

Everyday I see hard working immigrants doing jobs most Americans think they are "too good" to do. I also sere those same "Americans" sitting on welfare, disability, and unemployment. I see "Americans" having babies they cannot afford, living in government subsidized housing, and crying that no one will "give" them a job. And I see illegals working 2 or 3 or more jobs so they can at least pay for an apartment on their own, why, because they cannot qualify for government assistance, welfare, or health care. They pay cash. I know I worked in medicine. No social security # means no benefits. As for education, I see more Immigrant children fighting hard to learn and attend college, and I see more and more American kids flunking out and becoming deadbeats.

Go to your local housing projects...then, tell me who and what you see.

So I ask you...who is the bigger economic drain?

I doubt you would be willing to do the jobs they do, if you were in their position. Would you make such sacrifices and risks for your family?

I would, but then, I know what I am talking about.

There are no good arguements, since all the so-called good arguments are unjustified and support illegal activities. Economy is the main argument, both pro and con. For what the supposedly add in cheap labor, they detract in drains on health care, education cost, welfare recipocation, and social security benefits illegally earned. It also seems they are reintroducing health problems on the citizenry which we have had a handle on for years, such as measles, mumps, poxes, etc.

Yes on all accounts.

The single thing illegal aliens have going for them is Big Business uses them like a disposable work force, human capital.

While they work cheap big business doesn't pass on any saving to the consumer they just pocket the profits.

$39 million dollars a year is sent to their countries of origin by illegal alien foreign nationals.

When they can't or won't work anymore they use our social services. MOST work and use welfare at the same time.

What do you think an illegal alien woman does when she says, she has a doctors appointment? She's going to the Welfare Office to renew her benefit program!

She uses one stolen identity for work and another stolen identity for the Welfare office!

America spends $ 70 BILLION DOLLAR A YEAR on social benefits for illegal aliens! And politicians are talking about raising our taxes out of necessity!

We the taxpayers are being made to foot the bill for Cheap Labor!

Plus America sends all those countries Foreign Aid including Iran. Mexico get $40 million dollars a year in Foreign Aid from America.

I don't think you can justify "illegal" immigration. The illegal part prevents you from doing so. What you can support is a more expedited citizenship process, and more lax regulations regarding work visas for guest workers.

I don't think their contribution to the economy is overstated. At virtually all entry level, minimum wage jobs, guest workers are filling a VERY large percentage of the positions. And these are positions that most naturalized citizens would consider "beneath" them. Face it, many US citizens are just too lazy to work for $8 an hour. Mexicans and other guest workers will bust their *** for 60 hours a week at that wage.

I went to McDonald's this morning. Everyone in the kitchen were Hispanic and for sure illegal...(I know a couple of them). They are cheap labor. McD’s makes huge profits and a major contributor to the US economic.

Yes, they send their earned monies overseas. But the American companies benefit from cheap labor and their revenues is what benefits the American economy.

As far a health and education...... many don't even go to the hospitals or medical offices in fear they'll be deported. Their children do go to public schools. Research should be done on how THOSE children prove they weren't a loss of time/money once they've graduated and gone to either college/university or build careers. What’s the ratio of successful goals reached by immigrant children and born white American?

I am sure that McDonalds is making a difference by enslaving poor low skilled workers that are Ilegaly. All they are doing is making the the CEOs rich and we have to make up the difference in Taxes and higher Insurance Premiums to take care of them and their families. The farmers that say they need them to keep prices low for us are making millions by using them to harvest their crops.
It is not correct to say they are doing work that Americans wont do, you should say that they are doing work that Americans wont do for the slave wages they are getting paid.
I hope you think about that the next time you go to McDonalds or any other place that hires Ilegals, you are helping to keep them slaves, and making corporate America rich.
Ilegal is Ilegal, people that are born here to Americans have a right to benefits, just because you sneak across a desert and trespass dont mean you deserve these benefits. Stay in your own country and change it. Stop tearing mine down!

I eat vegetables and my garden is small, it's more of a hobby and to look pretty than to feed the family. If it were not for illegal workers would the lettuce, tomatoes, oranges, brocolli, etc get picked, shipped and put into place on the supermarket shelves? At what price?
When you stay in a hotel, is the room clean? If not for illegal workers, at what pricethe hotel or motel room? Do you buy grafted rosebushes for your garden? I have met many illegal workers that do the work. One was a doctor from Mexico who went to the US to work at what he could work at to be able to outfit a doctors office in Mexico. Last Christmas I got a card from him, he and family doing well in central Mexico and his doctor's office busy.

People living have expenses ... rent, food, etc, and even the most extreme savers spend.

No, I don't think so. There are many jobs that we Americans think or feel we are to good to do. We feel these jobs are menial and beneath us. Therefore someone has to do the job! Further the term American means all men/women/children from all walks of life. There is not just one class, gender, race or culture that makes up America. That is why it is the land of the free and life and liberty.
