i have just got a adware and spyware and a virus on my pc, iv managed to remove all the adware and spyware using AD-ADWARE and spyware doctor. But i cant get rid of the trojan that is in the file "C:WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl" I looked it up on the internet and thats supposed to be my boot up file, so i can not delete it, my norton cannot remove it either, i have tried AVG and kaspersky but they did not work either. And now a sign just poped up saying "DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION has just stoped the following "APPLICATION LAYER GATEWAY SERVICE". Im pretty sure its because of the virus, can anyone pleassssssssssssseeee help!!!

try SUPERANTISPYWARE its free or you could put your computer in safe mode, and go back to an earlier date before you got the virus . i had a problem with the same virus and down loaded XOFTSPY it cost about 40 dollers ps free anti-spy ware will find viruses but wo,nt remove then,superantispyware is the best norton for get it .

Can you do a repair installation from the Windows disc?
You need a specific anti trojan, an anti virus program won't help.
As a last resort try AVG anti spyware in Safe Mode; if that can't help then join XP Forum and get specific help.

yes, the net is a gateway to these things and any1 is vulnurable u can only protect urself by anti virus softwares google - avg anti virus, its free and does a decent job

have you tried to boot up in the safemod by keep pressing F8 or use a system retore to a day or to before when thev virus came in saving all your cuuent stuff first

What is the trojan virus is called if you go to symantecs site they have alot of tools to remove viruses find out what the virus is called then visit here

after you reformat and install xp use FARSTONE CLONEIT http://www.farstone.com burn your system to DVD if any thing happens again slide in your DVD reboot 18 minutes later your back up and running i use a fire wall but no antivirus after i found this......burn it after you get the updates & your connection done .dont install your antivirus untill after you clone your system.

its probably too late chum...the best way..as suggested above is formatting it...cause some problems like these need extream solutions...and specially when ntoskrnl is a dat file...no antiviruses can help....
