As has been pointed out by some of the other answerers, this was written to the Jews in a time where blood was associated with sacrifices and rituals. People had to be ritualistically cleansed in order to enter the temple, women who were bleeding were not considered clean for that reason and neither were men who did not cleanse themselves after touching a woman who was bleeding. There is nothing, however, to support your claim that God views women in this natural state as sinful. I hope that you understand that this was the old covenant and that the new covenant sealed by the ultimate sacrifice and blood of Christ provides all of us who claim Him with grace and freedom from the Law.

There are sacrifices and rituals that are to be completed for the unclean , which does include men in some cases. However these are all mosaic law and was a bond that Jesus broke when he Died on the cross and offered Grace to the world and not just the Jews. We as Gentiles are not held to the mosaic laws. We are made whole through Belief in Jesus and repentence of our sins. Even the Jews are no longer bound by the mosaic laws but since they do not believe Jesus was the Messiah, they continue to follow the old testament laws. As Jesus said those who live by grace will be judged by grace and those who follow the laws will be judged by the laws.

I can understand your confusion. But think for a moment though about the Jewish religion and "blood." Jews were not allowed to touch anything that was bloody (without becoming unclean). They could only eat meat from which all the blood had been drained. Animal blood was used extensively in temple rituals, etc., etc. ...
So for a Jew, when a women menstrated, there was something mystical and symbolic happening. It realted to the fact that blood was considered very important and had to be dealt with in certain ways.

There are many laws in the Bible regarding cleanliness that seem strange to us today, bc we don't face the same problems they did.
The reason women having their period were considered unclean was bc the blood could transmit STDs or make infection very easy. So, God instituted rules to try to limit the spread of disease. Today, however, we have access to showers and medicine more advanced than they did.
Ignorant ppl like some who answered earlier don't do any research to try to understand why God said the things He did, but for those who want to know Him, the answers are available.

Unlike many, I don't think this was meant to saddle women with some sort of guilt. If you look at the whole of Mosaic law, it is very strict regarding cleanliness and purity. Now, think of what we know about blood (and semen in regard to men). Body fluids transmit disease quite readily. Many of these laws kept outbreaks of disease from spreading in the Jewish community. This became a problem for them in later times, especially the Middle Ages when their prohibitions against drinking standing water and ritual cleanliness largely kept them from getting and spreading the plague to the degree their less clean European neighbors did.

I dont know where you got this from but i think there some misuderstanding here.
Btw the TRUE bible IS the OLD testament not the new testament from whichever version from whichever KINGS or countries. All the new testament have been changed troughout history and you might not get the right info. so the One you can depand on is the Old testament. FYI only.

This is the old testament, many things were different before Jesus came. I am not a biblical scholar however, that does not apply. There were so many laws that people were not able to concentrate on God they were to busy trying to live up to the laws to praise God. And common sense tells women what not to do at that time. It is our bodies natural cleansing process believe it or not. God bless

It's not about menstrating women (bloody churches),
But rather it's "allegory" about Law(lie) & Grace(truth).
God is a Spirit..."that Spirit".
Believe not every Spirit(God),
rather try(test drive) both spirits:
Law: insufficient, so test drive Grace.
Grace: is sufficient, when law flushed.
Both an oxyMORON with a BAD end.
For Grace "is", and Law was "added".
So Grace + LAW is as if Life + DEATH.
Holy Bible has no DEAD end for you all.
And "you all" thereof begins with "you".
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

This is one of those church policies vs church doctrine things. This was a policy that reflected the culture of the time. Policies can change, doctrines don't.
I wouldn't worry about it, a woman's cycle really is a gift from God, that gives us the ability to be mothers if we choose. Do a search through the bible of how many times Jesus compares himself to a mother hen, it really is a sweet thing.

Where are you getting this?
Remember the Old Testament is meant to show where people were before Christ. Christ came and saved us all from all old testament sacraments. I think this is tied into Eve. Read Genesis. Probably menstration was a sign of her sin. It still is, I'm sure but Jesus' sacrifice covers all our sin. Even the ones we do not understand. God Bless.
