It seems like a good idea, just wondering if you have tried it and how well it works. I want to pull some pork this winter! ;) haha

Sorry I live in an apt in Brooklyn, NY, and although we have (gas!) grills outside on my property the stovetop smoker seemed like my best bet. I hear you about the gas grills though, I'm charcoal all the way!

A stovetop smoker is just as bootleg as a gas grille.

My wife bought me one for Christmas. We saw Emeril use one on his show. All I know is I burned everything I tried to smoke in it.

DO NOT use it UNLESS you have an exhaust fan over tyour stove. You have been warned!
