I run 4 miles every day, except Saturdays and Sunday. On Saturday I run 6 miles, and Sunday I rest. I run a 10 minute mile. I have never tested myself to see how far I can go, but I think about it every day.

I could do 1/4 mile, probably 2.5 minutes or so.

Probably 100 yards in 20 seconds.

I can walk 12 miles in 5 hours or so.

I think 6:15 was my fastest mile, 25 years ago.

Long distance running will definitely give you a more aesthetic leg shape. A slow run/jog is the lazy way of trying to lose weight. Give it all you can, maximum intensity to really burn fat. I get my clients to beat their time every time they run, they are getting quicker, which means their cardiovascular endurance is increasing. A great result of this is fat loss. Bear in mind that I don't get them to run all the time. I constantly vary their training to increase their work capacity, which makes them feel better and also lose weight. As for your second question. You won't be able to target any specific area for fat loss. So if you are going to lose fat while running, it comes down to genetics for where you will lose it. I did say running will change your leg shape, but it wont necessarily change the fat composition.

Usually jog 5 miles but can do ten. It depends what you mean by running. Top speed running not near as far. Where does jog become run.

I average a 10 minute mile and usually go for 4-5 miles. I am on a mandatory rest period while my knee heals. I want to bring my miles up in hopes of running a full marathon (26.2 miles) in June.

*Good luck
