Some guys like it a bit hairy so just trim it down a bit and not go for the wild out-of- control especially for the first time. This will be neat,trim, and clean look. Then later ask him for the preference. He may suprise you and want it all gone. First time is special and make sure that you are not rushing it.

I got a bikini wax first. We'd been together a while and things were planned but I'd always wanted a bikini wax. I didn't get a Brazilian then but I was so impressed with the results that I now get Brazilians. It's the most fantastic thing to happen to me. Getting a wax leaves you looking extra tidy and feeling smooth which I found got rid of my fears of looking too primitive from going au naturale or gross and bumpy from shaving. Still having a little something left will make you feel much more comfortable.
P.S.
waxing does involve pain. run your finger nails down your forearm fast and with a good amount of pressure. that's about how it feels. also get it done about 24-36 hours in advanced to allow redness and tenderness to subside and DO NOT TRY AT HOME getting it professionally done will hurt less and look better (you won't have waxxy goo stuck to you for extended periods of time) and they do give you a panty type thing to wear so your waxer won't be getting the full view of you. They do it all the time and to them it will be nothing out of the ordinary

I was natural but it depends on what the guy that you are having sex with wants. I know that some men prefer none and others prefer a little hair.

when i first had sex i was not shaved,i usually only shave my bikini area and trim the rest with scissors it looks pretty good i don't get any bumps and my man likes it to he doesn't really like for it to be bald.
