Yes you did the right thing. If you stayed together would you have married him. Then you would have a life time of feeling suffocated.
That's what dating is all about. Being with people that are compatible to you, if you're not, move on.

You probably did the smartest thing you could by leaving. Obsession is a form of jealousy and self insecurity - and both can kill relationships faster than anything else.
I am just not sure why you are worried about whether he hates you or not. It sounds like this person has a lot of personal issues and is blaming you for them and trying to guilt you into coming back. Obsession is NOT healthy. Keep going forward in your life.... don't look back and don't beat yourself for having 'hurt' him. He hurts himself.

You definitely did the right thing, guys like that are crazy. They will start being crazy when it comes to other things as well. You are way better off now and with time you will come to understand that. Sometimes people need to hear things even though they don't want to, and that is the case with what you had to tell him.

Trust me you did the right thing. Don't worry about hurting him. Be more concerned about the hurt that you were feeling when you were together. If he doesn't want to talk with you anymore, that's o.k. It's a difference between love and control. B/C he wanted to control you doesn't mean that he loved you. He is just upset b/c you came to yourself and realized what he was about. It'll be o.k. just don't go back to him. He'll treat you worse if you ever take him back. He might just love you to death.

You did the right thing, because he is not going to get any better, he is going to get worst, you can suggest to him to get help, or work on his self. You did not betrayed him, you was thinking of yourself, and that is what you are suppose to do, that is right girl, want the best for yourself.

Would you knowingly start a relationship with someone who makes you feel like crap? If not, how can it be wrong to end it? This guy is trying to control you, by making you feel guilty. I think you should just ignore him.

You did the right thing!!
you definitelty don't need someone like that in you life.
Just dont let him make his issues yours; do not own his issues because thats what he is trying to do.
you would have never ever been happy in that relationship anyway!
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING GIRL! dont doubt it!

Absolutely the right thing to do.
Any relationship which is as suffocating as you describe, isn't healthy.
