I’m 24 male and 235lbs. I like to be 195lbs do you have any suggestion. Problem: I work in renovations so I need energy to get though the day. I come home late and quite tired. So working out is hard to do, but doable. What should I do?

Your problem may very well be that you're not getting enough sleep.

The way this works is that if a body doesn't get enough sleep it causes a person to eat more to compensate for lost energy.

Try drinking water, which contains no calories but fills your tummy so you'll be less hungry.
Get enough sleep.
Move more if you can.
Eat low calorie foods.
Cook healthy meals and package them at night or on the weekend.
Eat multiple times a day.
Try eat ting more fruit and vegetables.

Avoid sodas and other snacks with empty calories. I've also heard that carbonation is bad...

If you need prepackaged snacks, try those 100 calorie packs (like snackwells or whatever). Also Lean Cuisine are good but check the sodium content.

The more you move your butt the faster it'll come off.

Weigh yourself at the same time each week. Don't weigh daily as it can be perturbing.

Eating more often and drinking a lot of water will keep you from being hungry and keep you from eating more than you should.

I once read that you should never eat more than can fit (reasonably) on a salad plate. Another rule is to leave one bite behind from each meal.

It's hard--I know!

My one suggestion is to drink a lot of water throughout the day. It keeps your metabolism going. Try for at least 8 glasses, but for best results drink way more. Also, eat several smaller meals all through the day. That helps keep blood sugar from dropping.

I know you are tired at night but try and get some exercise in somehow.

If you need any other advice or just need to talk, let me know! I've been there and I'm still working on it! It's definitely a battle.

-Eat less fat and sugar and drink more water (always order water and skip dessert).
-If possible, eat 5-6 smaller meals instead of 3 larger ones (this is difficult, but will raise your metabolism).
-Do 20+ minutes of cardio before breakfast most mornings (anything that will raise your heart rate will do).
-Work out with weights 3 times a week (if you can't afford a gym membership, just buy some dumbbells).
-Get 6-8 hours of sleep every night (preferably 8).
-Start drinking green tea and taking a multi-vitamin every day (recent scientific research suggests that green tea has potent fat-burning properties).
-Be consistent! Most people don't have the time or self-control to really get in shape and lose weight. Good luck.

Watch what you eat. Exercise more. Try to eat what the serving size says. Have you thought of Weight Watchers? I am a lifetime member. It worked for me. They use the points to help you get in all the food you need for the day and also get you on track. You can go to weight watchers web site and find where the nearest meeting is. You can go to the first one for free. So if you want to loose weight, what would one meeting hurt? I know alot of people at the meetings that have lost so much weight and are so small. They look so good and I cant ever imagine them any larger. Its worth a shot! Good luck. Stick to your diet and you will loose.

Go running, eat foods that are good for you all day. Eat a healthy breakfast in the morning, then go running, then go to work, when you get home eat a healthy meal, then do some exercising. Don't overdo it, but if you are watching what you eat and excersing that's they best way to loose weight fast. How I lost 65 lbs? Playing tennis for hours, then going swimming to cool off.

You will have even more energy! My brother in law did it and he is an electrician and lost about 40 pounds since may.
