it is actually not fair because they are always abusing muslims for various reasons and 1 MAIN REASON is because of the tube bombings!!!!!! it is corrupted muslims do that and not any other INNCOENT muslims so why do they also get the blame? EXAMPLE if a white does a murder which happens everyday the other whites don't get the blame do they?? on the guilty individual does son't they?????? so why don't they take this example and treat muslims fairly????? because if this still continues believe me there IS going to be World War III Race vs Race!!!!!!!

I don't think your premise is true. From a British perspective it all depends who we are at war with at the current time. During the 1970s it was the Irish Catholics who was taking the brunt on the media (and government) criticism. In the 1990s remember the War on Drugs? That was the time when the country had no real external military threat and people were talking about the "peace dividend" (whatever happened to that?). Anyway, the Afro-Caribbeans got it then. Now we have the War on Terror, the Muslims are the perceived problem, and the campaign is non-stop.

I grew up in Britain with an Irish Catholic background in the 1970s so what you guys are getting now, we got then.

I honestly don't know what can be done except to say don't let the bastards grind you down. It is almost like some elements of this country need a target to hate. It certainly draws their attention away from real areas of concern like what are we actually doing to the Middle East and others things at home like the state of the health service and environment.

My advice to you is keep a level head and understand why things are happening. That way you and what you cherish in life can survive.

Look , after gathering all the information from the media , I firmly believe that there is some sort of mild insurgence happening here in the UK at the moment. Someone is putting up some 'puppets' , to make , what they call valid points , and pulling the strings. Yes, Britain has always a been multi-culture society , it was built on it , but somehow , this present situation feels very much different. There are 'dark forces' behind the veil issue. Islam , as a religion , is lawful in this country , but any form of extremism , which promotes negative attitudes , is not. Does Islam recognise national boudaries?. The Government has to get a fix on this one , if 7/7 wasn't a wake up call?

I think the reason why Muslims get so much criticism is because they belong to a religion that makes many of them (not most, not all) more extremist than other religions.

An example of why many Muslims are extremists.
Incident: Mohamed Cartoons.
Outcome: some embassies burned, death threats to individuals.

An example of why the western society is less extremist.
Incident: Cartoon of Anna Frank sleeping with Hitler, Holocaust denial by the Iranian president itself.
Outcome: nothing burned, no death threats.

Question for you: how do you know that a woman does not want to wear a veil? I have seen many Muslims that drink and eat whatever they like when leaving abroad, but they would never do it publicly in their own country.

It is only a race issue if you make it one. At this point I see Americans trying to help the peaceful muslims to get rid of the terrorist factions who hide amongst you. There will be causualties in every war and no one can feel worse about that than those who have to physically take those lives. However, if you really want to wear a veil I could care less as the way you dress is the least of my concerns. I think there are Good muslims and bad Muslims just like there are in every race. Do not confuse the issue or try to cloud it with saying whites always pick on Muslims. This picking on you describe did not happen until your Muslim buddies decided to come over here and learn in our flight schools so that they could fly our planes into our buildings. Justify that one if you can. If you want to preach, how about preaching some tolerance to the rest of the muslims who wish to do everybody harm. You are right, I do see world war 3 coming and it don't look real good for the radical few.

Go read some Musilm websites and you will get a real feel for what they don't like about the west. It has a lot more to do with our morality and religion than anything else, inspite of the propaganda. Do not think you can be nice to them and it will stop, unless you plan to change how the entire west lives. Seriously, take the time to look at them and what they really say, not what the western press says, because that is the real problem.

The problem with veils is that it hides your idenity. If you go into your local bank wearing a ski mask, there is going to be a problem. Why should it be any different? They choose to move to westen countries with a different culture. You have to adapt to the culture that you choose to move to, not try to change it. I would not move to Saudi Arabia and they DO NOT understand if you don't wear a head scarf.

I agree with what you say, but not all whites abuse all Muslims. Yes we hate the bombers, but who likes them? Only the fanatics themselves and it is those we hate! The ones who entice and glorify terrorism and brainwash the innocent Muslims, who then become terrorist themselves. These people preach outside mosques promising 72 virgins to those who will become suicide bombers, promote their websites, again enticing terrorism, whilst claiming government benefits because they are to ill (busy more like) to work!
As for Muslim women removing veils, this is the same as christian women having to remove the Cross from their chain.
The reason for this? It could cause offence! A mere Cross can cause offence, but a Niqab does not? This is a Christian Country after all!
It is not a case of picking, it is a case of everyone having the right to express their religion.

I'm in debate on the veil issue. In some rare circumstances it can be a hinderance and as such employement can be denied.

I mean if I want to wear a Queen Mother mask and teach a school class from behind that because I've started my own religion and ALL people in my religion must wear a Queen Mother mask, then they have a right to deny me work.

If I want to put on a suit of Armour and teach in that, with the sheild down, they have a right to deny me work.

If I'm a nudist and want to teach in the raw, they have a right to deny me work.

It's called a reasonable dress code.

When it becomes unreasonable it can be profiling, which should be illegal.

Why don't YOU try going to IRAQ or IRAN or SYRIA and wearing SHORT SHORTS and a BELLY SHIRT with NO BRA and see if you don't get arrested and jailed for dressing like an English Girl out club hopping on a hot summer day.

They will JAIL you for years in some countries for dressing like that.

Just wear a skirt to your knees with nylons and a top that show a hint of cleavage and you can be executed in some countries for going like that in public!

There was a valid news report about some areas in IRaq where men with AK47s were giving women a hard time for NOT weaving veils, for DRIVING their own car (not allowed in some tribes) and for talking on a cell phone in public. These women were told NOT TO DO IT AGAIN OR THEY WOULD FACE CONSQUENCES.

I can't wait for Islam to take over so we can yank all the cell phones of all the ears of women in public!

Muslims terrorists are committing crime because of their faith and beliefs, that is why there is so much criticism of their religion.
If suicide bombers weren't committing crime in the name of 'Allah' then Muslims would not be getting such a hard time now.
Not all white people have the same beliefs so it would be ludicrous to blame them for crimes just because of the colour of their skin.

Also the veil thing is getting blown out of proportion, No one has suggested that Muslim ladies abandon the veil all together. These Muslim ladies where happy enough to remove their veils for their passport photo when entering this country.
