Do you feel that your children, or if you are soon to have a child, do you feel that with their beauty, and innocence, that they are a spiritual experience. I do just wondering if anyone felt the same?

Well, having a child is pretty darn easy. Don't you think? Now in general I think it's not miracle when a women gets pregnant. In fact I think that most of the time it's a an unwanted surprise.

I do think it can be a spiritual experience, but the also believe that the experience is generated from the parents. I don't think the baby brings any magic into the parents life. It's like how a painting is worth a thousand words. A baby is the same, it just depends on the parents. Look at it this way, some parents drop their baby's off in a dumpster or fire department. I don't think those parents think their baby was a miracle or brought anything spiratual into their lives. Some parents weren't planning on having a baby, but they make due, get an extra job, figure out a way to make it work. Of those parents, some stay together and some split from the added pressure and responsibility or from the quick realization that they are have different parenting skills that wasn't brought to realization before the baby arrived. Now there are those who have money, status and a strong spiritual foundation and they wanted and welcomed a new baby and I could see how they could view it as a strong spiritual experience.

We all view life differently, so I think it's hard to answer this question with a yes or no.

I have a 10 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. Now I am much more bonded with my son than my daughter. I watch him grow and learn and he was just like me when I was younger.

Last night we were reaching cars with is race track. It's these stupid cars that you have to shake to get the wheels moving and they only go around the track twice before they stop and you have to pick them up and shake them again. I took one of the cars and took it apart to see if I could re-wire it so it would continuously run. Well, while I was doing this, my soon took my screw gun into his room and took apart his car by himself, remember he is only five. He took out all the screws and brought it too me. He was so proud of himself. Moments like that really make me proud to be a parent.

The same way as compared to what?

I'm going to have a baby and I think it's simply amazing. I felt her kick for the first time just last Saturday and it was wonderful.

My baby is going to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Yes I agree. They are definitely gifts from God, and sometimes I feel that I am not worthy of the gift but so proud to be their Mom.

I think that for most parents, that is the essence of childhood and why we feel so compelled to protect and nurture it.
