I can't seem to find a large selection, just the odd one or two. I've looked on Amazon and they keep giving me adult books. I'd like to find a large collection of titles that I can order.

Alternatively, I would be very grateful if someone can reccomend a foreign book or translation that deals with the subject of death, whether human or animal. The title and author would be a great help.

Many thanks

Thanks for suggestions already made. I'm specifically after non-fiction books, if anyone has any ideas?

1. Regarding death, have a look at this site. It's a bit "yankee wankee ... 9/11 ... why us, what did we ever do?". However search around and there are some titles that may be of use, especially 'One Thousand Paper Cranes : the story of Sadako and the Children's Peace Statue'. http://www.hclib.org/pub/info/coping.cfm

2. This online Word document has many children's books about hispanic culture, many originally in Spanish. There are some grief ones towards the end ('Abuelita's Paradise', 'A Gift for Tia Rosa', 'It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way', 'The Composition', 'Grab Hands and Run'). http://web.usf.edu/iac/islac/download/Hispanic%20Literature%20Resources.doc

3. This Website has a lot of African children's books. Normally based in Covent Garden, they currently operate a mail order service from Brighton. http://www.africabookcentre.com/acatalog/index.html?http%3A//www.africabookcentre.com/acatalog/Children_s_Books.html&CatalogBody

I hope this is useful.

This is fiction also, but it's a great children's book on the topic you are interested in - Swedish author Astrid Lindgren, The Brothers with Lion Hearts. I'm not sure whether the title is the same in English and if its translated into English at all, but if it's translated into Bulgarian, then I guess it must be.

The first Babar book, Babar the King, is a translation of Jean de Brunhoffe's Histoire de Babar and deals with the death of Babar's parents among other things.

Pinocchio is, of course, a translation from the Italian of Carlo Collodi.

Try abebooks.com and alibris.com, if you don't mind used books. They seem to have everything I've ever thought to search for. Good luck.
