I know of a couple of projects (not yet built) involving Scottish and Southern Energy in Scotland and Edison Mission Energy in California. These will involve hydrogen as a combined cycle gas turbine generators fuel and the CO2 byproduct being sequestered in oil reservoirs at the same time enhancing oil production.

Only experimental carbon sequestration projects are underway at the present. Carbon sequestration technology has yet to be successfully demonstrated. Several utilities have proposed future projects.

Carbon sequestration has been promoted by coal and utility companies as a reason for not placing restrictions on the burning of fossil fuels.

Has anybody consideredthe source of this CO2 problem? You burn fuel and get CO2 and HEAT. Why ignore that heat, it warms up cities nicely!
