It's a big pink pill that you hold between you knees when on a date.As long as you follow the directions, (Don't bend over) you won't get pregnant while on the date.

as "snapzen" put it, the abortion pill and the morning after pill are completely 2 different things. The abortion pill is called RU486 and I'm not sure how it works, but it "aborts" aka "ends" the pregnancy. The "morning after pill" called Plan B is a high dose of birth control pill that messes with your cycle. Since it takes about 5 days after sex for the sperm and egg to actually meet up and implant theselves, you have those 5days still to run out and "prevent" the pregnancy (which is very different that an abortion for all those ignorant people out there) by taking the Plan B. These dont always work but the sooner you take it the better. If you take it too late and the embryo has already implanted then the Plan B wont kill it. It probably isnt very good for the pregnancy, but it wont abort it. The abortion pill is available in the US but is around $300- $400. And it can only be done under a doctors supervision.
Hope I cleared some stuff up for you.
Of course lots of these people are right, to avoid pregnancy stick with the good old "wait til marriage". It always works. (Except in the bible, so if youre one of those people that take the bible literally, youre screwed!!) jk

The morning after pill and the abortion pill (aka RU-486) are two different things. The abortion pill terminates a pregnancy. I don't think its available in the US. it is in other countries. The morning after pill simply prevents implantation of a fertilzed egg. The morning after pill doesn't make an abortion as sometimes there is no possible pregancy to terminate.

there is an herb that Indians used to abort, but without proper knowledge of herbs and the recommended dosages, the person could die... there is a "morning after" plan B pill that will prevent pregnancy when used immediately after having sex.

It is a pill that females have to take within 72 hours of unprotected sex. I think it actually stops the egg from attaching itself to uterine wall, so she cant get pregnant. There are a few different type. I've had to use it before and it just made me nauseous for the day.

the morning after pill is basically an overdose of the oestrogen hormone, this disrupts your usual menstual cycle making it pretty much impossible to get pregnant that one time. From what i understand you have to take it the very next day. I dont know what the side effects are but it doesn't sound like you want to take them all the time.

There are very good chances that it won't stop pregnancy so go with the surgery option if you are pregnant that takes only half an hour and you will be normal in 24 hrs.

It aborts the pregnancy. It doesn't prevent pregnancy.
