That is a super thing to do as a family project. Now days it is rare for a parent to do activities with their children. A lot of television and Playstation is used to keep them occupied so mom or dad can relax. You are a super parent, good luck and it will be the best dog house ever built!

I just got a dog house called "precision outback log cabin dog house". It is sold by many sellers over the internet. Put that name or just dog house on your search engine and you'll find these or other dog houses in many sizes. You get them in pieces and you have to assemble them, so you do some DIY work with the boys, but it is easier and you have a better result.

You could also consider calling a local home-building construction business and ask them if they have any advice or drawings on building a dog house (I assume you want something that resembles a house and not the typical boxed look?).

START WITH A BASE ...YOU CAN USE A OAK FLAT...
OR ANY WOODEN SHIPPING FLAT..IT WILL KEEP YOUR PUP UP OFF THE COLD OR WET GROUND AND KEEP PEST OUT LIKE THOSE SLIMEY SNAILS, IT ALSO MAKES YOUR DOG HOUSE LAST LONGER.
IT'S ALSO GREAT TO MAKE THE ROOF WITH A HENGE SO THE CLEANING IS EASIER, OR PEEK AT PUPPIES.
