In the Malay language, HIjab or headscarf is also known as "tudung". I googled and found that in Indian "dupatta" is the Indian equivalent of a headscarf. What is the Hijab called in other languages/countries?

In Hungary we call it fejkendő (=head scarf). But I don't think it's an official word approved by Hungarian Muslims, because they are very few in number here. Perhaps they prefer call it hijab, I don't know.

in arabic it's the same: hijab, in the north of morocco, we call it "sonna", in the other cities, we call it" derra" "zif" or "ikhwan" refering to the ikhwan poeple of egypt, but all serious n educated people call it "hijab"
