Advantages of constant electricity supply

i wouldn't be too much fun if the light kept flickering. and the comps didn't work,
But actually we do not get a continues supply. We get Alternating Current. that is the magnitude of current varies like the variations of a sine curve. but the variations are so fast (50-60Hz) that we can not perceive it.

It needs to be constant because your appliances need a constant electric field. You are paying the electric company money to maintain a specific electric field in their lines, not for the flow of electrons.

because if the electrical supply is NOT constant, then I have to reset the time on my clock every time the power comes back on.

Without a contant supply of electricity, the morden civilisation's growth and development will definitely ruined.Techonoligical development will be a probelm and waste, rather than a solution.
