hi,
I would use a pva glue slightly watered down, I have done this and finds it does the trick. I found that just plain wallpaper paste came away . Hope this helps ;)

Try and get some copydex. It's a rubber adhesive suitable for a large marjority of materials. I was able to glue wallpaper to polystyrene with it.

It can also glue fabric to fabric.

I agree with Spurs13 - it would be a big mistake to put wallpaper on the doors.

give it a sand down (the area you want to cover) to give a key then simply wallpaper paste on!

Really??? That would look really bad and as a decorator i would advise against it as when coming to remove it, it will be a right B*tch! and probably ruin the doors!
