I have been for a life insurance policy and although I never though about it before......it was scary taking a test for it because it makes you think "what if"???? And what would you do if it did come back that you had HIV? It would change your whole life. But really, is it better NOT to know and not have the chance to fight it and take life in head on? To give it to others? Nope, its not. So, go take the test with the attitude of "I can handle anything" and when it comes back negative, have some appreciation for your life and the chances you have to live it. ♥

Take the test. It is better to know, that way you won't unknowingly pass it on to somebody you care about if it comes back positive. I took the test didn't really worry about it because I always had SAFER sex (so of course it was negative). I believed strongly in the condom, until I got married to a woman I trusted completely. I also stopped trying to sleep with every woman with a pulse, because I learned that wasn't the measure of true man. It's not how many women you can get that matters, what matters is can you keep the one you have.

never been tested, but when i give blood they screen for HIV i think, i would be devastated if i was positive, but plenty of people live and have a good life with a positive result.

incidentally brighton has the highest ratio of positive people per head of population with one in 2000 being poisitive, and still a vast number of the gay community do not use any protection, why???? if they are so happy being gay do they want to infect each other? i dont get it

good luck, i hope that it will be fine for you, dont stress about it though, only time will tell (how easy for me to say).

it isn't a giant deal, it's normal train within the navy so I had lots, it is only a factor, the one means you must be stressing approximately it's in case you have been doing the thinks to place you at chance (Sleeping round, utilising soiled needles, gambling with blood, ect) if you do not do this kind of factor then I might no longer pressure. although you do, no longer a giant factor to get verified, infact every body must get verified most often

Yeah, I was in college and my b/f and I went to the health dept together and got tested for everything...once you do it though, your mind will be at ease. Just don't do anything stupid that will cause you to contract diseases. It's your body, take care of it. I'm sure you'll be okay. Have faith.

When I get my yearly exam, I have them pull enough blood to do an HIV test as well. Any sexually active person should do so...especially if they aren't in a monogamous, long-term relationship.

Yes, I did get the test even though there was really no good reason to have it. My wife requested it, so I did it to please her. I knew I didn't have it so I wasn't worried. The time to be careful is before you to do things that would cause you to catch it.

Most folks feel that way! You can't help it! If you have to play, then use protection! If you are positive, depending on your strain, they have meds to help now. If the person who gave it to you has been on meds, what ever meds he/she has taken won't work for you!
