There is a great book called "Curl Talk" and it helps you identify what type of curls you have and how to deal with them from types of cuts to styling and products to use. It has really helped me with my hair and how to manage it, and I get compliments all the time now!
Good Luck

1. Find a hairdresser who will work with your hair.
2. Choose a style that is easy and uses the curls to your best advantage.
3. Recognize that you are blessed with curly hair, that you can be wild and free and that you can enjoy the freedom the curls give you. (Freedom from rolling it, from worrying about the look, from permanents, etc.)
4. Know that you can straighten it with any number of tools on the market today. Choose one, use it, if you like it great, if not, choose another, etc. until you find what's best for your hair.

i have nat curly hair to and i used to just throw it up in a ponytail to but then a new girl at work came in with the prettiest straight hair then one day she came in and it was curly i said oh no did you get a perm she said no this is natural i just use a flat iron on it i said my hair would never get that straight so she brought her flat iron on a slow day ( we work for an eye doctor so there is alot of slow days like today) and she straightened my hair and it was so different and pretty my husband said i was like a new woman so now i wear it both ways depends on my mood but try it i promise you will love it just don't put chemicals on it

Overnight, put Infusium 23- Leave-In treatment, before styling your hair, work-in Pantene- Daily Moisture Renewal (leave-in treatment), brush it out, then spritz some John Frieda- Dream Curls and scrunch it, finish the look out with Biosilk- Silk Therapy Shine On Spray.... trust me your curls will look great and not overbearing! Much luck!

I did that my whole life.

I woke up one day..pissed off at it..went down and had it cut. Its a sexy wild boy's haircut now and I have never loved it more. I get more attention...men compliment on how sexy my neck is and I feel free.

No more aggravation with it, no more hair brushes no more pony tailes and certainly no more headaches from hair bands or tails being too tight from the pressure.

I just add a little gel to wild it up and run my figure thru it and go. I love it!!

Cut your hair! Its very freeing

Wash it and towel dry it. Then apply about a dime-sized dollop of a product by Catwalk called "Curls Rock." Let your hair air dry. When it's all dry, gently run your fingers through it. You will have beautiful, natural curls, lots of volume and nothing greasy or sticky or stiff in your hair.

Just put it up in a bun but let it hang down so people can see the curliness.

you could straightening your hair with a straightening iron to make it straight down. Or you could try a wavy look instead of a curly one.

You could try the hair pieces that come with a stick to hold them in. I don't know what they are called but people with straight hair can't use them. It would only fall out of straight hair.

Of course, that is the only thing I do with my hair and I am getting tired of it too.
