Yes, because it might hurt their feelings otherwise. They have a perception of you and I don't like changing that.

Hi there,
As a mum of two 15 yr old girls your question made me laugh!!!
I am sorry but as parents the chances are your parents already know and they are just simply waiting for you to be honest and tell them yourself. If they really have no idea then YES you should tell them and also point out to them that you are just being honest as you want an open and honest relationship with them.
I cant promise they wont get angry at first but eventually it should work out ok.
One of my daughters, sneaks out at night, smokes, drinks and as far as i can gather sleeps around and she thinks I don't know! Well i do - Am I happt about what she does... NO WAY but.... eventually she will come to me and be honest about what she is up to in the mean time I sit back and play dumb but I always make sure she is safe.
As for my other 15 yr old, she figured out the honesty thing ages ago and we have a great relationship... I dont always agree with her choices but I support her anyway. After all she is a person in her own right and at 15 she is at an age where she has to figure out where she fits in with this world.
Both my girls know where I am if they need me and I suspect your parents feel the same way.

Well I'm a parent now but when i was a teenager no did not tell them I took drugs drank alchcol, but suprisingly didn't do the sex thing till 17. I knew I was in trouble with the drugs so I stopped, I left home at 16 and entered the real world nasty at times but I learnt alot. I married at 26 and still am married to a kind wonderful man. I hope my kids can learn by my mistake yet make some of thier own. I don't expect them to tell me about thier sexual life but I hope they can tlk to me about the stuff that is bugging them, Sex ed in school is teaching them alot I didnt know about . So in summery No they don;t want to know everything.

I always told my parents the truth even tho I might have gotten in trouble, it always paid to be honest with them! To this day, I do not regret telling them everything. If you can't be honest with your parents, then most likely, you can not be honest with yourself! By being honest with my parents, I knew that I could always go to them and talk! Now that I have grown up and married and have children of my own, they (my children) know they can tell me anything! And they do! We have a great relationship! If I don't talk to my children about drugs, alcohol & etc.....then someone else will. So I rather be the one they talk too! My parents were the same way! I thank God daily for such wonderful parents. My dad passed away July 4, 2005, but I'm still thankful for having him as my daddy! He was the best! My mother is my bestfriend. And to this day, I can still talk to her about anything! Communication is a great thing to have with your parents!! :o)

my parents kind of raised me to be very independent. my mom has told me b4 too, that she knows i deal w/ a lot but she doesn't have to know every detail if i don't want to tell her, just know that she's there when something gets to hard. my dad... he'd rather know everything b/c he gets mad saying "he doesn't know whats going on in my life" but the same goes for him.
i really do feel like i can tell my mom anything if i wanted to or felt like i needed someone to be there, and my dad... well sometimes it seems like i can only tell him certain things, but in the end the same goes for him.
they really don't care to much to know EVERYTHING but they really just want me to come to them when i need it, so that's what i do. for the most part they know i can take care of a lot on my own, and am pretty smart, but also that if i get myself into any trouble, i have to take responsibility for my actions.

I talk to my mom about everything, she is my best friend! I loved my dad dearly before he died and used to talk to him too. You only have your parents once and I tried to cherish everything. Love is a lot in a family so don't never hesitate to talk to them.
