i need to go from IAD (washington dullus) to LAS (las vegas) Jan 1 - Jan5. i'd like to go earlier (in the day) like around 12 from here, but the cheap flights are all really late. and i will NOT fly TED especially if there is a layover is LAX. they made us sleep in the lobby and locked the bathroom doors and we had no access to foor or water and they refused to even acknoldge there was a problem with any of that. so please, no LAX. but any help would be great. i know there used to be a site where you could name your price, but i cant find it. southwest said they had flights for $99 r/t, but i cant find that either.

i'm only dead-set on those dates cause the hotel is only $69 a night as opposed to 300+ those dates, and i dont mind transfering planes, its just the last time we went there on TED, every single flight was delayed at least an hour and on the way back they made us miss our flight and then made us sleep in the front lobby and gave no comps and didnt even respond to letters written about the whole ordeal. they were rude and they dont care about their customers at all. so i WONT take TED unless its a direct flight and doesnt go NEAR LAS. but as for the times, most of the ones i found dont get in until almost midnight, and thats just too late for me, because it will be about 3am to my body, and thats not a funtioning hour of the day for me. lol

Cheap flights are cheap because you are inconvenienced. This means taking flights that usually have empty seats: very early and very late departure times. It also means changing planes, making your travel time longer and taking a chance on problems with connecting flights. People who take the "no risk" flights pay for less hassle. Try Air Tran, America West, or Southwest. Their websites don't list all of the flights so its best to call them.

The first site I always try is TRAVELOCITY, but I usually start with the "flexible dates" selected.. This is a way of looking at price first, and then available dates... Pretty tough to get exact dates this way, but sometimes you can get lucky. It also allows you to view the Airline, route and schedule before buying.
