my close friend is female, and i dont look her in gf-ish way, i just take it as my real best mates. she does the same as well. but y do i feel awkward, and always feel that i fancy her, when i dont.
when i talk to her about the guy she likes, she always bypass the subject, duunno why?

If you both like each other very much in friendship, and if you both don't have any parnters, I think that will gradually become something more than a friend easily.
If you want to change your relationship now and go further, don't be afraid to do so. Just tell her that she is a very special person in your life. Tell her that if she likes you the same way, you might want to bring this further, but at the same time, don't want to frighten her or make her feel obligated in any ways.
She will definately be thankful for your open feeling, and will be easy for her to open her mind up too, either good or bad.
That's what you're asking, right? The truth of her feeling.

There's probably something there that you don't fully realize yet. That's why it's sometimes hard for girls and guys to 'just be friends' because either one side or another side ends up fancying the other person.
Your choices are: 1. confront her about it and tell her that there shouldn't be any awkwardness in your relationship because you aren't looking for her to be your girlfriend. or 2. leave it alone and hope it goes away.

if she has never told you the guys name and keeps it a secret and shesacting the way she does most likely you are that guy and she likes you alot but my feel self conscience because she doesnt really know how you feel.
if you do know the guy and shes acting this way then most likely she may have feelings for you or knows that you may like her and shes trying to save your feelings
or she may be lying about the boy and trying to make you step up to the plate by making you jealous

It is possible that over a period of time because you have been so close as friends you haven't realised that perhaps you have both fallen for each other, but you are both frightened to say in case it ruins you're friendship.

you say you don't like her, but i think you're wrong. you need to take a closer look under then magnifying glass to see why you feel that way around her. there may be something wonderful there that is growing but you are repressing it!! why not give it a shot?

sounds to me like you both fancy each other you just havent admitted it yet, or at least you both subconciously fancy each other. i'd just let it go, carry on as friends or talk to her about it and just see what happens.
