Is it illegal to burn free softwares [firefox,gimp,linux,etc] into CD and sell it to public?

no no.....i have researched it a lot......if u have buyed a product...and given it to somebody else..then thats illegal...and u would be struck,not the one to whom u have given....any freeware,and i mean any freeware..can be burned into a cd...can be given to fredns..families etc.dont worry

Yes and no, selling is illegal but distributing with the permission for free (media cost can be charged)is not.

Read the terms and conditions. Some software writers actually encourage this as it spreads their software! Read very carefully!

Depends on the Software license..not to mention the fact that no one is stupid enough to buy software they can get for free.

Why would you want to sell 'FREE' software? And who are the suckers who would buy that? I mean the fact that you're looking to sell them software means that they have computers, right? why don't they just get 'em themselves?

since they are free , it is legal to put it on cd but it is illegal to sell it , because the cds aren't original

yes... read their policy and I'm sure you'll find there something mention about rights of freeware redistribution...
