When I was in college I had heavy drug habits. Like ex, lsd, pot just to name a few. I feel like I am a different person then I was before I started doing drugs and now that I have quit. Like the ability to be happy, I am never just happy with my situation. Before I started doing all of those psychedelics I was happy all the time with any situation. Is it the drug use or did it just come with age and experience? I am sure drugs affect the chemicals in your brain and when I stopped doing them I had serious depression and anxiety issues. I have been off of medication for many years now but I still find myself analyzing everything and trying to make every detail of my life perfect. I can always find something wrong with my situation no matter how good I have it. Let me know if any of you have experience this or you know anything about it.

I have the same issues at times. I'd rather not get into my past as fodder for the sarcastic people on yahoo answers, but if you are serious and you want to talk im me. jasons_jordie

I am a recovering drug addict. When I was on drugs I was not myself. As I am getting off of them, I see my old self again. They put me on Lexapro to help with the anxiety that comes from recovering from drugs. Go to your doctor and ask them if you could possibly try it. It really does help. I had a terrible users dream the other night that shot me out of bed. I instantly took my pill and went on the computer to a NA meeting. I was calmed down within a hour. It really does help. It is not easy going through this, but please stay strong, it is really the best. Good luck and I am praying for you.

It don't just affects... it kills some of your brain cells.Doctors told me that the effects you had when your drunk kills some of your brain cells how much more on drugs.Thats why some of your personality changed.I've been a drug user too...but not to the point like being rehabilitated. What i've noticed was my temper..can't really controlled some of it when i'm angry never been like this before. And my emotion...been very emotional lately...very sensitive...just a small matter and i'd like it to make it a big deal like an argument a rubbish one and i'd like things to make worse. That was how it affects me.

If only i could turn back time.

When i did smoke and take a few choice drugs everything was much better even under the worse conditions. It seemed to be better without having to be .Being off drugs is better than being on them by all means. The drug is what made everything better for me.When i feel really bad i go back to the drug that gave me that special feeling that i remember.I hope you stay off the drugs but for myself i am going to enjoy mine responsibly

I feel my past drug habit helped me loosen up. I was a goodie two shoes before and was up tight. Now I enjoy life most days and I haven't touched drugs in many years. Maybe you need a doctors help. Good luck....
