When an offer is made, in good faith, and people decide, rather than simply ignore it, to insult the person making the offer, why do they not leave any contact details for further discussion?

Because they're cowards. They would not dare insulting other people openly.

Don't know either what you're specifically talking about. But, I'd venture to say if they chose to insult and not leave any contact info they're chicken s**ts that think they have the upper hand. I'm an instigator for stuff like that, and I always leave info to get in touch with me, I welcome the confrontation-especially when I'm right which is almost always the case lol.
