Say, "Hey Dad, his parents are coming to meet you; so go easy on them because they're not as cool as you are..." flattery is wonderful.

I would say "They will finally get to meet you" Parents are very sensitive about their children getting married. They worry that their children will like their inlaws more than them. Flatter your dad a little bit. It may make the situation easier if he feels that he is still the most important in your life. We had to deal very delicately with my husband's mother because she was very jealous that he was spending more time with my parents while we were engaged. Playing to her ego just a tad made things a lot smoother in the end.

I think saying it either way is fine, but I think the best would be to say "You'll finally get to meet each other."

I would go with the "I am glad you finally get to meet each other" routine as well, sounds good and everyone is a winner
