If a sports clothing co. is holding a media day, what will the event be like?
Why might they employ models (to show people round? for a show?)

IT is when they gather around them all and everything that they require to sell their products. It can take the form of a party or floor show. They present the product in its` best light. They invite everyone that can be representative of the product, and that will buy or advertise it. The idea is to launch the product and get maximum coverage and sales. They invite T.V. ,newspaper and magazines, influential out -lets and buyers.etc. Really it is just a glorified sales campaign.

media day is when all media outlets (tv, radio, paper, magazine) get together with team and do interviews and get the up to date info on whats going on with season, coach, players etc. models are employeed to make the event aesthetically pleasing. plus they take good pics when needed.
