Hi I have a degree in Early Chilhood Education and have taught 2yer. olds for 16 years they love hands on things. Blowing bubbles are another fav. Try making rice shakers out of small plastic juice bottles. Like the Gerber Juice bolltles. Put a small amount of uncooked rice in the bolltle glue the top on elmers glue work fine and have a marching band shaking those bottles. They love it. They also love water play. Lay a old shower curtin on the kitchen floor fill up a pot or small bucket with water and give them some messuring cups to dump and poor back and forth into each cup. You can also have a sink or swim lesson get some things that you know will sink and float. And ask them showing them the object will this sink or float. You could also add a small amount of liquid soap to the water and give them a turket baster to squeez and make bubbles in the water. Block are another fav. Building up 4 or 5 blocks and have them knock it down. They think it's soooo funny. That takes up alot of time. Have them try and toss a small ball into a empty bucket or a bean bag. Puppet play is good. They like making art. Finger painting is a great one that they love. Playdought the home made kind so it won't stick to your rugs 2 C. Flour 1 C. salt 1 C. water 1 tsp. Cream of Tartor and some food coloring if you want to. Wrap it up in plastic rap when your done and it will last for weeks. There are so many things you can do with them the list just goes on and on. I love that age it's the best age ever. Try this web site too abcteach.com and First-School.com for preschool activitys Hope I help and Have a ball with those little angels

Here are ten to get you started. Get out to the library and pick up a book with ideas. I can't imagine being bored with two 2 1/2 year olds. What a fun age!

The Top 10 Fun Things for Parents and Toddlers to Play With

by: Dr. Clare Albright

1. Give your child a spray bottle of water and watch them spray every possible thing outside of the house!

2. Use shaving cream in the bathtub for extra fun.

It is usually possible to find cans of shaving cream that cost only a dollar each.

3. Remember that Barney dolls, Sesame Street dolls, and the like are as real to your child as any other person that they have met.

Respect their relationship with their 'cloth' friends.

4. Buy a small pet, such as a frog, lizard, goldfish, bunny, hamster, etc.

Toddlers need something to love. A pet will add much more stimulation to your child's life than any other toy will.

5. Replace your child's stroller with the wagon for outings to the park, the mall, etc.

Wagons can make both toddlers and their parents very happy. Wagons are symbolic of you and your child making it through the baby stage and entering the world of "big kids."

6. Teach your toddler to march to the beat of "one-two-three-four!" while the two (or more) of you play your instruments.

Your child will never want this marching band game to end!

7. Make a sandbox out of a large plastic container for your child to play in.

If you put the container outside, covering it will keep the cats from mis-using your new toy.

8. Build towers together with blocks.

Your child will learn about spatial relationships, balance, etc.

9. When using Play-Doh with your child, show them how to make little snowmen, snakes, etc,. since it is difficult for their little fingers to mold clay at this developmental stage.

10. Set up finger painting in an empty bathtub with your child wearing only a diaper.

This can make finger painting a much less stressful activity for a parent.

Do counting activities with beans or cereal pieces. Have them glue the items to colored paper or paper plates they have colored or painted.

Do collages of pictures in magazines that capture thier interest.

Make a scrapbook with them with pictures of family members and pets. Use construction paper and tape or glue-stick the pictures, then label each person. Then cover each page with clear contact paper and bind the pages together by punching three holes and tying with yarn. Each child will have their own family book they can carry around.

There are TONS of online resources for young children's activities. Twos are incredibly smart and can be taught more than most people realize. Check some of these sites:

Have fun with your twins! These are the BEST years!!! God bless!

well they can do anything you do if you just can them, buy or make some broom for them to help you sweep up, ask them to help you stir. Since it is near Halloween, you can buy the "All you" Halloween tip magazine. On my son's birthday we went out and made spiders out of water bottle, and he held the string for me to cut, he danced with the spider, he gave me the chentils I needed to much a pumpkin spider. Crayola came out with a marker and finger paint that only shows up on a type of paper, so them coloring without you worrying is great. Since it is fall ask them to find the different colored leaves. Mommy and me classes, all the fun.
