I am not offended with atheists. They are lost and do not know that heaven is their home. Taking offence will only complicate and aggravate the situation for them. The best thing to do is to pray for them to come to the the knowledge of the truth and grace of Jesus. The warfare is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces wherever they gather.

I am not offened by an athiest views or questions provided I am given the same respect I give to them. I do not tolerate remarks like: "cleaning my bible with sperm" as I have read on here with many other offensive remarks. I dont have a problem standing up for myself or my belief I just don't lower myself to their standards when I am replying. Some would say turn the other cheek. This is not about turning the other cheek this is about showing common respect for one another and pointing out their lack of it.

No. The rude ones are angry and hurt, or feel it acceptable because of the anonymity. We also understand that they see our comments and answers as "bashing" their unbelief. To be sure, there are some zealous and immature Christians out there who can be just as rude and offensive. This goes on within the other faiths and beliefs expressed here as well. Everyone seems to be trying to push their own agendas down each others throats.

Our beliefs are part of who we are, what we think and feel... down to the very fiber and core of our beings. If we respect this, with some understanding, and an open mind and heart, we may all just learn something from one another. Christians should also be trying harder to show love towards others... it's part of their new life in Christ. Let everything be done with love.

Atheists always forget one important thing about Christians, and particularly about "born again" Christians (the only real Christians) -
and that is that almost every one of us were either atheists or agnostics long before we became Christians. Most of us had all the same misconceptions and prejudices that atheists commonly have, at one time. So atheistic viewpoints are nothing new to us.

I get a laugh out of it when some raging atheist posts vulgar or ugly comments in the hope of offending, hurting, or upsetting Christians. Most of us have been in your shoes, folks, before God changed our lives into what we are today. Most of us can just brush those negative comments off, take them with a grain of salt, and consider the source. I think most of us realize that atheists are stuck in a mode that only Jesus can free them from, and naturally will behave just like the atheists that they are.

That behavior includes hatred of God and Jesus, and those who belong to Him. It can be seen plainly wherever atheists gather to express themselves. It's just part of life.

Not pleasant, but it's reality. Real Christians feel more pity for the lost atheist than offense...but that doesn't mean anyone likes to have their closely held beliefs insulted.

No I am not offended by their views, I figure to each his own. They have the right to believe in what they want and so do I. That is why there is so much war, because so many people are trying to make the others believe what they do. Let them live and let live. But I don't want them knocking a religion that they know nothing about. Whether it be Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Mormon, Buddist, Jewish, Muslim or Athiests, etc., they all have a right to their opinion.

I am not the one you need to worry about offending! I respect your views and totally understand where you are coming from. I have seen too much and have received too many answers to my prayers Not to believe. My doubts were washed away a long time ago when I was on my knees begging for help and strength. It was most sincere and from my heart and I received it. I hope you keep an open mind and do not take offense from believers. If you have kids and wan tthem to amke their own decisions about their beliefs you need to expose them to everything so they can make an informed decision. I wasn't like that with my kids and now I regret it. I wish I had exposed them to more religion and churches, and broadened their scope to help them in their decision.

No. I'm not offended. Everyone has their own belief system. I'm a Christian, an atheist is an atheist and I respect their beliefs as I hope they respect mine. It's all good.

Anyway, I always thought that making a statement that is deliberately offensive for no other purpose than to cause offence is not a part of any religion, theistic or not.

You don't have to feel that way, because no religion can force another person to believe in it. Even God won't accept that.
Only those who can feel the existence of God by heart and not by the naked eyes will have full faith in the God. They will never see the God because their hearts were blinded. But nevertheless
they do believe in God otherwise they won't call out God's name aloud when they are confronted with disaster. The Athiests
just want to be oustanding among the rest but what a pity..........

No not at all. Some people simply decide not to seek God in their lives and spiritual things are a joke to them. When tragedy strikes in their own lives that's when Christians can reach out to them in caring and love showing the true attitude we should have toward others no matter what their belief system.

I'm not, I was raised as an atheist and I understand how it feels to have different views. I really enjoy the exchange on here, if we all thought alike it would be so boring.
