we are both fairly new, i see him a few times a day we've said a few words but nothing ground shaking. All the girls in the office like him, i'm nothing special to look at how can i find out his age, single status and whether he likes me without seeming like a stalker who would resort to asking perfect strangers on yahoo...?

You could try and look on your computer system at work and look for a list of emergency contacts and see if their relationship is described (most people would have their partner as their next of kin).
For the age thing, his CV might be on the system aswell. Or you could try snooping round your boss's desk to see if they have a paper copy!
Now for the finding out whether he likes you or not... I don't know. My spy skills don't go that far!

Well first thing is you have to shake the notion that you are nothing to look at, if you exude confidence you immediately become much more attractive...at least with me its how it works. And then when you run into eachother in the office, make chit chat...things like that will come up. You can ask how his night was...if he saw the show on tv...anything ...you learn a lot without asking these direct personal questions. Good luck :)

Ok, I can speak from experience as I have dipped the nib in the office ink a couple of times. Ok, so maybe I am the office ink. Anyway, it's a big office. But back to my answer- do you have a general/junkmail list that people send out questions/sell/buy on? If so, and he sends out something, send a flirty response. If he likes you, he will respond, trust me. Otherwise, you send something out after just having spoken to him. Hopefully he will respond, and then start the flirting.

I think u should listen to the advice that I didn't. Don't date anyone u work with, like I did. I recently got out of a 2 1/2 year relationship with someone I work with, and guess what.........now my work life is hell. He is resentful of the split and tormenting me at work and trying to get others to turn against me, its very very uncomfortable. That's the worst part of it, but also when u see someone all day long, seeing them at night eventually doesn't seem so special.........it's just too much time together.

Just do the opp of what all the girls are doing in the office, he will notice you then . Then you can start to get to know him, plus you shouldnt have such a low opinion of your apperance, i bet you are beautiful but you just cant see it. Besides, personality is far better than looks, and if he is good for you he will realise that, just be friends and then maybe it might progress.
IF your both new, then you already have something in common !! just talk to him.

Wherever he goes, it is likely that lots of women like him...... This means that he is very likely in a committed relationship already.

My advice is to spedn time around him and see what vibe you get. When a guy likes a woman, he acts a certain way toward her. Just engage him in normal friendly conversation and see what happens.
