not all kids do, my lil guy has red hair and he is awesome. He doesn't really get teased at all about it. It is different, maybe that is why.....

I don't know wear your getting your info, but most kids don't dislike red hair. I'm barely anymore than a child, so I think I'd know. If a child does dislike red hair, it's because they've been taught something like red haired people have bad tempers.

Not only children dislike red hair, depends on the shade of red hair, but it reminds me of a carrot top.

I have no idea. When i was 5 my best friend had red hair, and when i turned 13 my first girlfriend had red hair, and i sort of gravitated towards red hair since. Maybe it is becuase i have white hair and was kind of outcast myself?

You know children, they hate anything that is very very different or not in the norm for them. There's a small amount of redheads, when compared to other hair colours. Another thing is that on TV and society some of people don't find redheads attractive. I totally disagree with this though, some redheads are attractive for me :D. And there was a comment above me saying that clowns had redhair, they do!!! And also in Australia there's this politician called Pauline Hanson, and was very racist, she had redhair too. She was also in gaol for a bit for corruption.

i dont know. i didnt really think about it when i was a child (im a fair, redish haired irish girl, go figure) i suppose it never bugged me. now days i love having red hair, ive dyed my hair every color except blonde, but i always come back to my redish tinted hair, it just looks the best with fair skin and grey eyes!
maybe little red headed kids dont see how adorable they are, they will learn with time that its just a unique little quirk.

They like to 'fit in'.Red hair is not common--so it makes them feel 'different'.
