Only you can answer that question!

Seriously - belief in a God comes from within - it is not something that can be imposed upon you. Personally, I believe in the Morrigan, the ancient Irish Goddess. For me it happened that I was philosophising about whether trees have souls, and if so, whether rocks do too, and so I became a Pagan. My journey has taken me over many years, learning about many things, and eventually I became a Celtic Pagan, and eventually I found my home in the house of the Morrigan. This is right for me, and I know it, because when I heard the myths of the trials of Cu Chulainn, the washer at the ford etc., something clicked inside me.

Now, the absolutist Abrahamic faiths which require you to swear your life away to a tyrannical storm-god or face death by the sword or the suicide bomber - they are coercive, which is not what belief is about. There is a saying: "a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still"; and in matters of faith this is crucially important!

Faith is a personal thing. In fact, it goes beyond personal. Which is why only you can answer the question.

No, you SHOULD not. What right would anyone have to force you? If you think that a deity answers things, that is the base. But you are an agnostic, and were raised in an environment that tried to teach your its beliefs; yet you struggled from those and decided to follow your own path. You probably came to this conclusion by yourself, *despite* pressue from your family (believe me, I come from the same background, my father was brainwashed by catholic priests, that is the way it was back in those days, all the teachers were from the church) and I resisted. I am a secular humanist now, I do not believe in a god. Those who think I will burn in hell can keep their pity to themselves. It is just a shame that your familiy cannot accept you; but you can always point out that *their god* made you *that way* (and they should not start with this feedom of choice garbage argument; if god is almighty, then he knew from the moment of creation that you will make those choices, because that is the way he made the universe; he can predict the future, can't he? He set the whole thing in motion, didn't he?)

Religion is a deeply personal thing. I was brought up aethiest, but became a pagan after having my own spiritual experience and finding that there was a name for what I ended up "knowing"

And "believing" because youre told to believe in something, and actually knowing that there is something higher are two different things - and only you can know which category religion would fall into for you.

No-one should force you to follow a belief system that you dont truly feel is part of you.

I suspect that there's a lot more to any schism within your family than a simple matter of religious belief. Believe in a god if you want to but I think there's more work to do afterwards.

And no, you are a free individual and not wrong to believe or disbelieve in anything as a matter of faith.

well first think about it,think how did earth crate and other galaxies sure there is an energy in our world which could make them and this energy is the God,god is not a thing you can touch but you can discover about god in your body and in your life,

now in physics we say the information doesn't waist and our body full of information so what happen after we die?

just think about this question and also you can read some books about new physics but don't go to see the pop because their knowledge about god is too less and incredible

Don't succumb to peer pressure. Don't succumb to the brainwashing. Whatever they want you to be... deny it, for it would be your undoing.

If for whatever reason you want to believe in a god then do it on your own terms... call it what you like, do as you like it and deny the religious ways of other people. Spirituality should be an entirely personal thing, and conformity with the spiritual beliefs of others is like trying to hammer a cuboid through a cylindrical hole: its damaging.

Your mind is like a lock... and there is only one unique key that will open it. Sticking other peoples' keys in there won't do any good, and you could end up breaking them and getting them stuck there. Don't go that way. Walk your own path always...

You should believe...DO IT NOW!

Seriously, your beliefs are your own business and I would say believe what you want but I'm not sure that wanting to believe something makes you believe it. At least for me personally, I cannot believe some things that I really do think would be comforting and I believe many things that I don't want to have to. Believe or not as your mind and heart lead you.

God is a useful abstraction that does not need to be true to have value. I would not go so far as to say "believe" in God, since that carries disturbing political connotations that really detract from the usefulness of the God concept, but giving it an occasional glance can be handy from time to time.

You should believe only if you are convinced...if you have faith....having not seen your family can not make you believe in God....it is emotional pressure on you....a sort of compromise by you where as you say to your family that OK now i have faith in God where as in truth you still don't believe in God...to whom you are cheating...yourself....your family...or..God.

Decide yourself.

Trust in Yahweh and not the Gods.

Yahyl (Joel) 2:32—
And whoever will call with the Name of Yahweh will be delivered; for in Mount Zion in Yerusalem there will be deliverance, as Yahweh has said, among the remnant who has escaped of those whom Yahweh calls.
