These are part of the Gnostic Gospels, a collection of writings that were rejected when the Bible was formed because they contained doctrines or clear errors which didn't line up with the other writings. It has gained some publicity lately because of the DaVinci Code.

Probably the same as the "Gospel of Thomas" which, most likely, is one of the gnostic gospels of circa 300 to 400 AD ... the Gnostic writings were rejected by the Early Christian Church as being spurious, heretical, and NOT from the authorship of the Apostle Thomas, the missionary to India.

Part of the Gnostic gospels. Note that the gospels that were selected to be in the new testament were chosen because they were the most popular among the many interpretations of Jesus' message. Once they were chosen, the church dismissed or branded as heresy any interpretation that wasn't in agreement with the ones that were selected. If the gnostic ones had been the most popular interpretation of Jesus' message, they would have been put in instead. It was whatever appealed to people's egos (the interpretation that made Jesus out to be a magical miracle performer and guaranteed that our individuality last forever were, of course, the most popular).
