Do any other men here sometimes break women into two categories, those who you'd love to have sex with and be nice to only on a physical level and those who you'd love to have around for ever because they are fun and a laugh, but you'd never want to get intimate with them?
Some women can fall into both categories and they are the best ones. :)
I'm guessing women also make these decisions with men.

I'd also like to point out that this isn't necessarily about putting women into 'good looking' and 'ugly' boxes. I'm just interested to know if anyone elses way of thinking is similar to mine.

No, these are only 2 catagories, I have many more. But, If I find a woman who is fun and makes me laugh I will try to get her in bed even if she isn't pretty.

Yes i do that..there are different categories
*Husband:i see in him the perfect father for my children ad the good man i can share my life with..responsable,mature..
*One night Stand:an oppurtunity
*Long Term relationship:someone that matches perfectly with you: you are having fun together,happy,having crazy moments..it's all about fun & love
*Short relation:someone you like but you know u'll never get to something finally..so you date him juntil you got fed up so you dump the guy

I only fancy men that i am intellectually or emotionally attracted to.
my husband always tells me i'm beautiful, but i have a beautiful mind too. (not my opinion of myself by the way- that would be plain and stupid!)
sex is a natural animal/human need, but to survive a long term relationship you need to find the person's mind and soul attractive too.
lust can wear off quickly, but interest will always have you coming back for more and it can make you physically attracted to that person.

i have never done this, but i know that i always get put in the good laugh, fun to have around category by blokes i date.......then they usually start on the romeo thing too, just for the conquest i think..
sometimes it would be nice to be put in the gf/wife category just for a change!

First off, not all people do the catogorizing, but generally, Men do normally do that to women because what it presented to them on TV, radio, and music. Very few women do this, though.

yes women catergorise men exactly the same.infact my little black book is divided between chat calls+sh*g calls.mix the 2+it just gets complicated
