I was dating this guy and he seemed perfect but then he said he wanted to be friends with benifits and eventually start dating again once we became better friends but then he said he just wanted to be friends but he has feelings for me. The other night some guy hit on me when we were hanging out and he told him off and said i was with him. I really like this guy and he knows it do you think there could ever be anything between us?

Lose him, it sounds like this guy likes being with you, doesn't want other guys to be with you, but still wants to keep his options open. A lot of times when guys tell off other guys, it has nothing to do with the girl herself, but more with the lack of respect the other guy had for him. like how could that other guy ignore that you were with the one guy. if you guys are "friends" around other people and only friends with benefits when you guys are alone than maybe this guy doesn't want people to know he likes you. either way you look at it this guy is a selfish pr**k. do you really want a guy that wants to "hook up" with you, but not care enough about you to only hook up with you. why does this guy think he's so great in the first place? it sounds like he just wants you around when he is horny, i would lose him. i know it sounds cliche but it is so true, there are tons of other guys out there, don't waste your time with this one.

No,not until he decides to be honest with you. I think he doesn't know what he wants. I get the impression he likes you but not the way you like him and he doesn't want to hurt you or he's scared to make a commitment to have a relationship with you. I'd start dating others and move on with my life.

He can have feelings for you but not want to be in a relationship. You need to tell him that if you two are not together then he needs to stop telling guys off that approach you.

I'm sorry but it sounds like he wants to keep you around, but not have to worry about all the relationship things. He wants a booty call. Don't turn down other guys, because this guy is probably not turning down other girls.

He wants to have his cake and eat it too...In other words he wants the benefit of playing the field while you wait mooning over him until he decides he may be ready to settle down. In the meantime he wants you to stay pure and chaste and available only to him. That's ultimately up to you but personally I wouldn't put up with it.

You need to cool it with this one...he doesn't know what he wants except for the "benefits". He needs to get his head wrapped around what he really wants...until then you are just beating your head against a wall looking for pain.
So kick him to the curb until he gets his head together...if you are meant to be, it will happen. Good luck...stay strong.

the fact that he blatantly said he wanted to be friends with benefits should make you weary. also, it seems like you are much more invested emotionally than him. i think you should just let it go.
