My grill is covered in grease. Not alot, but enough to make it smoke all the time and have to keep the burners down. Can I cook the grease off by putting the burners on low and just let it go for a while? Is that a safe thing to do or should I just dig in deep and use a cleaner? I really don't need a grease fire to burn down my deck & house.

Turn that grill on HIGH, until all the grease has burned off.

It may take awhile, then keep it up... after each grilling, leave
your grill on high at least 5 minutes, turn off and brush the grates off.

It will work.

I grill 365, 20 years. good luck

Crank up the burners and close the lid..It'll burn off the old grease in a matter of minutes. You can lay down a layer of aluminum foil under the grill to catch any grease drippings to protect your deck.

easy off makes a good cleaner that should do the trick. leaving the grease there will probably make it smell bad anytime soon. if you grill all the time it's no problem, but periodoc use should be dealt with proper cleaning.
