most diet beverages contain some kind of sweetener such as splenda. Your drink might even contain aspartame. these things are extremely hard on your digestive system, the healthiest sweetener you can possibly use is stevia (can be found at health food stores). if you continue drinking such large quantities of pop you are going to be at great risk. some wines are actually good for you, however they need to drunken sparingly. switch to another beverage like apple juice or even water if at all possible

Yes, that much Diet-Cola-Of-Any-KInd is not good for you, not only because you are likely to put on weight (sugar+sodium=weight gain....yeah, even though it's "diet"), but there are some studies that suggest that drinking too many soft drinks can lead to calcium depletion...which would lead to osteoporosis. The flavored seltzer water is a good choice. But I found that just drinking water, with lemon or lime, helped me to keep from drinking less alcohol.
Seems to me if you're grabbing the Diet Pepsi instead of the beer/wine/liquor, your body might have some kind of sugar-craving. I'd talk to a nutritionist about it. They might have some helpful ideas on how to address that.

Maybe a healthier thing to do would be to substitute the Pepsi with plain water and drink 4 times that per day!
It's a proven fact that drinking 8 liters of water a day [a] cleans out your body by flushing out all the poisons that go in the many time you need to pee and [b] because it's already filling the stomach, your appetite wanes and [c] you tend to eat less.
Doing a couple of miles walking everyday, even if it's in little walks around your office, will help.

One thing for sure, if you keep up that rate of consumption there won't be many days left for you.
"DIET" drinks are chemical concoctions that will slowly kill you. Or if you're lucky, just make you very ill!
They won't make you lose weight, you'll actually put in on as the artificial sweetener (Aspartame) is many times sweeter than sugar, thus increasing your craving for more sweet things (carbohydrates).
If you drink "enough" water you won't feel like drinking that other crap.
Watch out for bottled fruit juice as well, it's loaded with added sugar. Drink the real stuff.

Yes, it's bad for you, but if it means cutting back on alcohol, I guess it's a better choice than the booze. Diet Pepsi has lots of sodium, which can keep you from losing weight (in case that's an issue for you), and also has artificial sweeteners, all of which are bad for you.
Maybe you can eventually switch over to club soda. They have lots of flavored seltzers, and they're not bad for you at all!

A few years back all diet drinks contained the text "warning contains cancerous ingredients" in Scandinavia...this has been removed I don't know why! Anything you eat or drink to excessively of is not good! Even vitamins can be harmful. Even drinking too much orange juice is not good for you. Moderation -and you can eat and drink whatever you like

If you could sub some of the Diet Pepsi with water, that would be great.

Diet pepsi has no sugar in it... 2 liters is only the same as about two quarts...
Shouldn't be any trouble and is alot better than drinking too much alcohol....

Drink water. Diet drinks are not good for you, read the ingredients. Water or juice is much better for you. does not have anything in them to cuse harm to your body. Try green and white teas, or other herbal teas - they are very good and the green and white tea are loaded with antioxidents. Some people have to aquire a taste for green and white tea, but it is excellent for your health.

i think that drinking anything in excess is bad for you. and diet soda is actually worse for you than regular. if you really want to loose weight i would say drink more water. you also may be just trading one addiction for another with caffeine.
