If Jesus tells me through Matthew 5:48 that I can be perfect, and provides the Sermon on the Mount to tell me how to achieve perfection, why should I not share that knowledge with those who claim no one can be perfect?
Is teaching others the truth the same as casting the first stone?
Is pointing out false doctrine a sin?
Matthew 5:14-16 makes clear the responsibility of those who see the truth. Would you have the truth hidden under a bushel barrel so as to avoid upsetting those locked in the darkness of false doctrine? Does a lesser standard of behaviour than the Sermon on the Mount serve "the will of my Father" (Matthew 7:21), or help anyone to find the narrow way (Matthew 7:14).
I am prepared to be judged by the measure I mete out (Matthew 7:2). I have cast out the beam from my own eye, that I might remove the mote in my brother's eye (Matthew 7:5).
But those who fail to understand the truth, and continue to believe themselves sinners, have no place teaching others.
If a man builds a bridge, and the bridge falls down, should that man teach bridge-building? All those who claim to love God and Jesus, yet admit they do not live by the Word, are hypocrites. Who better to teach the Word than those who live in accordance with the Word, as Jesus taught it in the Sermon on the Mount?
If living the Word and teaching the Word is casting stones, then no one learns to behave in accordance with the Word. But if living the Word and teaching the Word makes those who don't uncomfortable with their own iniquities, some may choose to give up their iniquities to obey Matthew 5:48.
Those who have ears will hear.

Thank you, Debra M!
Lord knows, I'm not without sin. While I don't understand or agree with all religions, I would never belittle them. By the same token, I would never want to be a part of any religion who enjoys making fun of another persons beliefs.

Not quite sure what you're asking sweetie.
Of course Jesus said "Judge not, lest ye be judged" but also keep in mind Galations 6:1:
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

We are told to judge rightly others' sins. As Christians, we are supposed to help one another, and that includes letting our brother know when we see him falling into sin. That is not judging his soul, which God alone can do, but judging his actions. If I know my brother is sinning, and I do not warn him, and help him, than I am just as guilty. Likewise, if I am in habitual sin, and noone warns me, they are guilty. We judge actions, not people.

SIn is an outdated concept, and everybody judges everybody anyway. How do you deal with anybody if you don't make an assessment of who you are talking to? You can't.
The danger in judging is overgeneralizing. When you start judging people based on irrelevant data, you do a disservice to them.

I have made mistakes, some I wish that I hadn't!
and I will make mistakes as Long as I live!
my best wish as an atheist, is that I learn by them and try not to make them again.
now when and god decides to tell me the exact path I should take, then I guess I'll keep making them!

Another one of those crazy christian notions which I entirely disagree with.
I believe that is the fact that I am faulty and acknowledge it that justifies my judgement of others. Afterall, how could someone who is without sin be familiar enough with it to identify it in others? ... Don't knock it before you've tried it.
Oh... and for the record... Collect enough religions together and EVERYTHING is a sin. Heck knows, enough catholics believe we're born with it.

No one is perfect ... no one should judge anyone ... no one should look down on anyone ... no one should think they are going to heaven and the rest are going to hell ... no one should torture anyone for their sins ... no one should think they are more saved than anyone else
We are all humans ... we are all sinners ... we all need the mercy of Allah.
May Allah forgive us all.
