If you, claiming to know the truth, can't stop sinning, why should anyone listen to you?

I am listening to you telling me to listen to God. If you don't listen to God enough to avoid sin, why should anyone else?

How "honest and humble" is it to claim "nobody is perfect" when you don't know everyone who has ever lived?

To the Christians who say "don't listen to me". Why do you expect anyone to listen to what you say after that?

If you do not love God and Jesus enough to obey them and stop sinning, why should anyone listen to you tell them to love God and Jesus?

"actually it is better to listen to our own instincts" Is that what you say to serial killers and pedophiles?

it is BECAUSE we are all sinners that youshould listen to us Christians... think about it... who else but a sinner would you listen to about how God made their life better? if a 'perfect' person came up to you told you that you are a sinner and won't go to heaven because of your sins, how would that make you feel? like they are judgmental right? you woulldn't be able to recieve the Word from someone who's perfect because you would judge them because of their perfectness... there's no winning for you... if they're perfect you tell them that they have no clue as to what you've been through and done, which is why He sends reformed sinners to you to show you there is another way of life... to not contiue to sin any more...

Yes, Christians are "sinners". That puts us on even footing with the rest of the world's population. I know that some Christians give the impression that they are "morally superior", but in reality we all share the same condition: we miss the mark of perfection that God demands of us. Who on earth is so great that an almighty Creator is impressed? No one.

As a Christian, I am not asking you to believe the things I say. I am merely sharing the things that I have come to believe as true. I would ask/suggest that you follow Christ and His teachings, not any individual here on earth. You alone can determine what impact Christ will have on your life.

While Christians do still sin, they also strive to live a God-pleasing life: love God with all your heart, soul, and mind....love your neighbor as yourself. There are many stages in life. No individual was ever born into this world fully mature. Likewise, there are some Christians who are very weak and ignorant...and there are some that are incredibly mature/strong. No matter what the person's stage of development (those with whom you speak), ultimately it is about following (listening to) Jesus...not us.

just like one person already said, It's not about listening to us , it's about listening to God "through" us.
We as christians believe that our bible is inspired by God. So when we quote the bible, or tell you all about Jesus it's God speaking through us to you.
You are right, I sin, have sinned and prob. will sin as long as I have flesh. So the only reason we are "better" than you is nothing we did but something that God did, love us, save us from our own sins. We are forgiven. If you don't follow Jesus your are not forgiven and your sins will not allow you in to heaven upon your death.
You are the one that will stand before the living God on judgement day and explain why you didn't listen to God through us
You will live life eternal, the question is where?

I understand where you are coming from and you have just proven that no matter what Christians say or do in this society we are danged if we do and danged if we don't. All I can say is this. I am a sinner. I know that. I struggle with things everyday. It gets hard sometimes and sometimes I want to give up. But, I cannot give up because God has never given up on me. And I am not just saying that. I say that because I have literally seen the things that He has done in my life. My life has been transformed and is still going through the process. And the process will not be completed until I die and meet God.

Because the Bible (God's Word) is Truth and is the final authority on man and our sinful condition. The Bible says that ALL have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Only difference is that Christians are forgiven because we've accepted Jesus' atoning death for our sins. That's the only way anyone can be forgiven. But unfortunately we still sin, and when we do we ask God to forgive us and he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Every person is a sinner, Christians do not claim to be perfect but if you trust God and believe that Jesus died for our sins then you are saved from your sins because of his sacrifice. God helps us to not sin but does not expect us to be perfect. That is why he sent us his son.

No true Christian "can't" stop sinning, most simply won't. You don't have to listen if you don't want to, but God does command us to "go ye therefore..."

Matthew 28: 19-20

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Don't listen to me, a sinner saved by the grace of God.
Listen to God and His word, the Bible.

True, why should you listen to me? Try reading the scriptures instead. Truthfully the scripture states that all have sinned, you and me both as well as everyone else Christian and non-Christian alike.

I do not claim to even know a little of the truth. And I ask no one to listen to me.
