Enough is enough!
I had enough of this competitive world. I used to be a competitive person, motivated by the desire to prove that I'm better than others, that I have what it takes to succeed, but along the way, I realized that people can be so heartless, and that, they would do everything to get where they are, even if it means stepping on other people. I don't like to be surrounded by plastic people, and waste my energy competing with them. I find it so unhealthy, and I can't stand the negativity that surrounds it. I'd rather be out of the race, and live simply, but happily, than be on the race, but live miserably, and possibly, die early.

Ur so right!! |)
Even if ur winning in a rat race...Ur still a RAT. So let those rats run. I will be honest here. I have though alot how to be successful in life. I also discovered shortcuts..butI quickly learned that when ever I took the wrong way, I got what I wanted at times but my conciouncs never let me be at peace with myself. I was never very social and popular, but I dont care . Nor I make any effort to prove to others that Im better. Coz I khow that in the end it all goes to waste xcoz the single second u become plain old not the Winner. PPl forget u ever were at the top. Why win to prove to others. Why not just do things for Urself, and others that make u and others happy. and do them ethically. Ur always a winner then! Since ur aim was good. U dont feel ever that uve lost.

I just wanted to say now I am at peace with myself a little.
If ppl will like me for being the most pop or at the top. Then their just not friends, thier selfish.

Do what u like and work hard on that. thsi way none of your actions will be wasted.
Best of Luck.

Thoughts bout life is changing almost all the time. At this time, u are probably too tired with the rat race, chasing dreams like every single person on earth. Take a step back, and think back of what is your ultimate dream in life. What acheivements do you seek? And of course, how do you plan to achieve it.

Simple life may sound tempting, but for a person who's career oriented, and will only get his satisfaction work, it might not be the best choice. So, take a deep breath and look at the bigger picture. What do you want from ur life? If u are the achiever type, take proper steps to invoke healthy competition. All the best!

I used to think like that but I learned there are more things to life than competing to prove you are the best and heartless people. Help other people get out of their problems, helping will make you feel better due to the fact that you will prove you are not heartless. Your thoughts however are far advance for you have learned what takes others years to learn. Enjoy life, it is too short to be spent on being worried.

Certainly, there is ample negativity in humanity. There are many instances of unhealthy competition. The use of deception and trickery often causes suffering. One can use competition in a positive manner. Think of using competition to motivate yourself to do your best. My best efforts are not undertaken to compete against someone or to impress my superiors. I want to do my best for my own satisfaction.
This is not to say that one can not find a career or lifestyle that is less competitive and more focused on positive supportive interactions and work. Take some time and examine your choices. If you are seeking a less fast-paced competitive environment, it is there to be found.
I wish for you the very best.

its very rare to meet someone of your own age/peer respectively who isn't in some form of competition with you. I went a very long time without friends (my own choice i might add) because i simply could never meet an individual who wasn't out to use/compete with me. Iv since grown up and realized these things.....even your best friend will compete with you on some level along with someone you hardly know, but! it is actually flattering on your behalf. You have something they're threatened over therefore doing they re best to eliminate that uncomfortable feeling they`ll try to prove that your no threat as they can do it better anyway! I hope that makes sense. It helped my frustration with society now if someone is jealous/threatened by me i play on it and drive them mad.

You are so right, everyone is allways so obsesed with winning no matter what, and looking the best and everyone else is just egnored, society has gone completely mad. Everyone judges on a person on thier looks, and smart people are just written off as ugly and not worth while I hate society, its completely insane. People also judge on others personal opinions which is wrong, everyone should have the right to think what they want about anything from liking someone to how someone takes care of thier children.

I think you've made the right decision. Besides you can be an outstanding success in a simple life. Its all a matter of how you define success. Money and power don't necessarily mean you are happy or that you've made any lasting contribution to those around you. You sound as if you are well on your way to being a decent human being, that IS success.

You can choose to get to the destination by running over people as Napolean Hill says you can. The objection to his ideas comes in "Be nice to the people on your way up. You will see them on your way down."
You don't have to be in the race. You can live in a simpler fashion and work as a team to get jobs done if they let you at work. It doesn't have to be miserable.

you're right there girl!!..why be surrounded with people who are cold-blooded?!!..suffers like them or worse be one of them someday?!!..

but,here's the thing,,

Life is really tough! It was never meant to be easy..you got to fight for your right, for your place in this world..you gotta have a "say" for yourself!!..you see..if you don't fight and let them get at you..then you Will be pushed- over for the rest of your life -- and I know you don't like that..no one does..you can still fight and be competitive in your life..you could even beat them!!..but DON"T FORGET TO NEVER CHANGE THE GOOD NATURE THAT YOU ARE!!..I mean..they can be selfish and be possessive with their ambition to success but that doesn't mean that you would also be like them,right?..surround yourself with good friends..and just always believe that "What comes around, goes around"..
believe in yourself and do your best without hurting any body's feelings!!
*wink*

I think you tried to accomplish something and didn't make it but you are right you have to be happy in what you do -be it your job or just life in general.. But trying to reach a goal of some sort is part of life and keeps you from being bored. Hang in there.
