All Tiger needs to do is stay healthy and win 7 more majors to get the best ever crown.

That won't be an easy feat. Tiger's swing puts a tremendous amount of stress on his back. Nicklaus used his big butt and thighs which are less susceptable to injury.

Knowing Woods, he's working with a trainer every day to prevent future back problems. The guy is just unreal.

i think he is considered the best golfer of this time period but you have to remember,we have more and better tools to use and better golf clubs and the competition is much harder....so to say hes the greatest golfer of all time is a lil overboard,b/c you'd have to put him up against the golfers from "back in the day" that were the best of their time and let them play with the newer equipment and play Tiger and then we'd know for sure if she's the greatest off all time!!

He has not won 11 tournaments in a row like Byron Nelson, or 160 professional tournaments like Sam Snead, or 18 majors like Jack Nicklaus, or all four majors in one year like Bobby Jones. His record at the Ryder cup is terrible. He has not ever suffered. He shows disrespect for the game on the golf course. He has not made a lasting improvement to the game like Gene Sarazen or Byron Nelson. He does not have the presence of Arnold Palmer. He has not been around long enough to become a legend.

Right now he's neck and neck with Anika Sorenstam.

If he keeps going the way he is, he may one day be the greatest of all time.

I feel that he probably has the most potential of becoming the greatest golfer of all time. He has not had the accomplishments of the truely greats of all time as of yet. Untill he does, he won't be considered the best of anything. He is probably the best that is competing today.

I totally agree with Billythenewf's comments. In addition, he is not a team player so unless he makes a significant change in this area, he'll never be considered as the greatest golfer of all time.

Well, i think he is a great golfer too. But, he has tough competition out there. I guess they can't pick who the best golfer of all time is.

He is the greatest 'golfer' but has the personality and charisma of a small turd so he will never make a complete package like Nicholas did.

I believe he is, and definitely will be unarguably the best golfer to ever live. However, if he wishes to speed up the process, he'd need to beat Nicklaus' Masters record.

But he's the best, undoubtedly.
