Never squeeze them, you could make them infected. Wash your face with a good facial soap like neutrogena. That will get rid of all of the excess oils that are causing the whiteheads. Proactive is also a good product that works. If you want a homemade remedy then use an eggwhite without the yolk and brush it on the whiteheads. when it dries it will also shrink the whiteheads. Just rinse it off after about twenty minutes.

Do not use harsh soaps or lotions, which could the face oily.

Use cleansers and try to keep the skin less oily.

Try to keep the dead cells away from the skin, by cleaning your face.

Do not squeeze the whiteheads. Too much squeezing could damage the skin and make the pores large.

Applying warm water on the face and gently putting pressure with a little cotton could clear the clogs.

Take steam. that should open the pores.

Don't squeeze whiteheads And blackheads yourself. That may leave permanent scars on the skin and also cause infection. The best approach is to go to a dermatologist, who will pick them open, if required under sterile conditions. Note that Acne scars can be permanent. Wash your face gently with lukewarm water and mild soap to remove excess sebum and dead skin. Do this twice a day. Don't be harsh on the skin. Acne takes time to clear. Apply any topical cream that may be prescribed by your dermatologist. Acne treatment requires patience. Some of us think that washing affected area many times a day may clear acne fast. That may rather further inflame the acne. Be gentle and patient.

Just wash your face with baby soap in the morning and evening because it really dries out your skin then apply an oil-free gel-based moisturiser to reduce oil production. Hope that helps. =D

sudocreme works really well. it's an antiseptic cream, cheap, and has a similar drying-out effect to toothpaste, but is much better for you. also its whiteness also takes away any redness around the spot making it look less obvious!
