If you are in Glasgow, head for the Whisky store in the Buchanan Galleries, it stocks hundreds of Malts and they will be able to tell you the whiskys that are not exported.

I am aware of one distilelry that has closed down and only has a few years supplies left. I tried a nip on a tour about 5 years ago and it was very very nice. It is called Dallas Dubh Distillery and is on Speyside ( I think). You should be able to get a bottle of this at the Whisky Store.

Enjoy Glasgow, have a curry at the wee curry shop, have a pint of 80 shilling and a haggis supper from a chip shop whilst you are there.

Talisker is a decent single malt and it's not that expensive either, I think it's exclusive to Scotland but I can't be sure. It's from the isle of Skye.

The best is MacCullen's 12 year Single Malt, auctioned only in Scotland, but I don't think you can afford it.

Best bet is to try the local stores in Glasgow.

Both Macallan and Talisker is available in the US...I have them both. Anymore, it's virtually impossible to find something that's not somehow available worldwide.

Your best bet is to visit a distillery and see if they have some exclusive bottlings available nowhere outside of the distillery.
Here's a nice list for reference:

Old St Andrews is a very smooth malt. I don't know where it's distilled but it's sold at the St. Andrews Golf Club, see if they have a site shop.

If you're near Edinburgh go to the Whisky Museum shop just down from the castle, they have some cool and unusual things in there.
