I would look online or a bookstore. It really isn't that difficult. Are you looking to tone, get bigger or lose weight ? I will concentrate on weight loss in my advice. Make exercise a part of everyday life, not just a routine. Walk whenever you can. Park a little further back, take the stairs instead of the elevator or the escalator, etc, etc. Stay busy during idle time like watching TV or telephone use by walking or simply sitting on the floor stretching. As far as the exercise goes, get a routine and stick to it. You can do push ups, ab work, squats, lunges, dips, calf work and even curls if you have no weights or simply light ones. Remember this, anytime that you are working/pumping the muscles, they will remain charged for up to a whole day, Burning calories at a higher rate, as opposed to walking, etc, when the calorie burn is strictly only during the exercise.

Did you think about trying to take martial arts or even better, Capoeira (the best work out you will ever have!). Capoeira is fun, you are learning a martial art and a dance at the same time and is one of the latest trends here in America now. Try it!

A good walk - at aerobic pace, not a stroll round the park. Take some money for bus fare back; if you don't judge how soon you're gonna get tired, you might need it!!!

Dance! It helps both your body and mind, it calms you down and it also helps you exercise. You don't have to be a disco star, just on your own put music on and dance!
