It is always a good lame excuse

The devil has no power over me than the power of an idea! I take responsibility for what I do. It was my choice.

This is a smart question by the way :)

May Allah give us the power to resist

The devil may give us ideas, but it all comes down to our choice and responsibility. The devil can be very persuasive, however. He makes travelling driveway pavers seem genial.

No. Saying "The Devil made me do it" is just looking for scapegoat for our own inability to control our urges just as saying "It is God's Will" is apathy to change things around us.

Both are excuses for not dealing with problems directly.

I knew I had a peeping Tom. And just how did you find out about the devil? He wasn't even there when you saw me doing it.

The devil can't make anyone.
He does provide us with opportunities and plays to our weaknesses. But, it is still our choice to follow the Jesus or Satan.
Sorry, folks no other options, no fence sitters.

No. He does not have the power to manipulate like that. He can tempt you and hint around that you should do something but he still functions within the boundaries of not actually taking frewill out of your hands. In the end it is you who gives into temptation.

We can be tempted by the devil, but not made to sin

No. You are mistaken on two counts. That is NOT the devil. The rather sinister looking person by my side is my boyfriend (when I'm not mad at him for something). And he did not MAKE me do it. I wanted to do it.
